  • RAS #480 - Night Screams
On this time we have a screaming shadow. Yep, you read that right, and it is terrifying. Also, we have a brand new Johnny Is It True and a tale that is a real mind-bender titled An Adventure In The Fourth Dimension. We end the show with a listener request from Alex Greer that is one of my favorite short stories. It is tiled We Didn’t Do anything Wrong, Hardly. So press that play button and let’s get started. Featured Story - An Adventure In The Fourth Dimension Our featured story for this week is a real mind-bender. It is not so much the story itself, but how it is told. It comes from Weird Tales Magazine, October of 1923. The story is titled An Adventure In The Fourth Dimension and just might be the most sophisticated science fiction story we have ever had.  Stories Include: Pattern Of Guilt, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Night Screams, Johnny Is It True - Strange But True, An Adventure In The Fourth Dimension, and We didn’t Do anything Wrong, Hardly. • RAS #479 - These Dreams
On this time we have stories about dreams. Four listeners sent in their night encounters and they are freaky.  We have out of body experiences, shadows, doppelgangers, bats, mice and more. These are some of the most eventful tales we have ever had. Also, on the show we have a science fiction classic titled Operation Distress. It comes from the pulp magazines and is read for us by Dale Grothman. This is a packed show. Featured Story - Operation Distress Our featured story is a science fiction classic.  It was written by Lester del Rey and first appeared in Galaxy Science Fiction - August of 1951. There are many things that could go wrong in space, but one that is more feared than any is the threat of picking up a new disease. Even during the space age of the sixties and seventies astronauts were held in quarantine to ensure that they hadn’t picked up something while up there. That is what our story is about today. It is titled Operation Distress and opens with these words. Explorers who dread spiders and snakes prove that heroism is always more heroic to outsiders. Then there's the case of the first space pilot to Mars who developed an itch Ron’s Amazing Stories Sponsored by: Audible - You can get a free audiobook and a 30 day free trial at   and - Good Treats for your dog to eat. • RAS #478 - The Man Who Tried To Save Lincoln
On this week we have a tribute to both Valentine’s Day and President’s Day. Berklie Apedaile has written a new fantasy story titled A Cherub's Dilemma. Then we visit president Abraham Lincoln in 1865. To round things out Peach tells a tale about a snowplow driver who sees a ghost in a cemetery! Not once, but twice! So press the play button and enjoy! Featured Story - The Man Who Tried To Save Lincoln Our featured story comes from one of my favorite OTR series The Mysterious Traveler. It is a time travel tale, but with a twist. What if you could travel back in time, but not need your body? That is the premise for this one. With presidents day just around the corner I thought that we should visit 1865 and President Lincoln. The adventure is titled The Man Who tried To Save Lincoln and first aired on February 7, 1950. Program Links - If you are interested in learning more about the Apedailes and reading more of Berklie’s stories follow this to their website.  Ron’s Amazing Stories Sponsored by: Audible - You can get a free audiobook and a 30 day free trial at   and - Good Treats for your dog to eat. • RAS #477 - The Earthmen
On this time we will start off with a return to one of my very favorite science fiction shows. Then we have two of your stories. A phantom mist shocks a young boy and a woman encounters something in the Nevada desert. We follow that up with some classic science fiction from author Ray Bradbury titled The Earthmen. We end the program with a new segment called True Facts.  Featured Story - The Earthmen Our featured story is a classic that comes from the pen of Ray Bradbury. It was first published in Thrilling Wonder Stories, August of 1948. It is the saga of an expedition to mars where the crew encounters a martian community not far from their landing site. At first, they received a less than warm welcome, but soon all that changes. The Earthmen is from the old-time radio series Escape. It first aired on July 25, 1957.  Ron’s Amazing Stories Sponsored by: Audible - You can get a free audiobook and a 30 day free trial at   and - Good Treats for your dog to eat. • RAS #476 - Night Hike In Redwood Forest
On this time we begin with a listener's tale from 2001 about a night hike into the Redwoods of California. Spooky! Then Sylvia Shults returns with stories about timeslips. You will hear a tale about a phantom fistfight and a window that only displays scenes from the past. Also on the show, Sylvia joins me for a special audible segment that is both historical and current. How can that be? Press the play button and check it out. Program Note: Sylvia Shults is a Librarian, Author, and Ghost Hunter. She has spent a lifetime in the pursuit of the weird and strange. Her non-fiction works include Ghost of the Illinois River, Fractured Spirits, 44 Years in Darkness, Hunting Demons, The Spirits of Christmas, and her latest release Fractured Souls. • RAS #475 - In Pursuit Of A Ghost
On we have a story from Alex in Saint Bernard Parish who encounters a couple who drowned during Katrina. Then we play a classic story from director and actor Orson Welles. In this one we learn that it might be best if you tell the truth from the start to avoid unnecessary complications. We end the show with some Dominios history that the company would rather forget. I am sure we all understand that. Featured Story - Pursuit of a Ghost Our featured story is all about  Harry Lime from the celebrated 1949 film The Third Man. In that film Orson Welles' character, Harry Lime, was killed. So our tale is a "prequel" of sorts.  Harry tries some shenanigans to get some cash and finds himself lost in a battle to find the criminal El Zorro. What we have is an episode from the OTR series The Lives Of Harry Lime. It comes from November of 1951 and is tilted In Pursuit of a Ghost. • RAS #474 - Savannah Georgia
On we have something pretty special. Jason Dowd is back and we take a journey with him to the city of Savannah, GA. You will not believe the ghost stories he experienced while staying at the Planter’s Inn. Also on the show are two listener tales that fall directly into the category of the head scratcher. A postman tries to make a delivery and is halted by a ghost, and a shadow on the wall defies any logic. We end the show with a brand new Johnny Is It True, alien edition. About Jason Dowd - From an early age, Jason has loved his art. Over the years he has used various mediums, but none was more profound to him than photography. He finds inspiration wherever he goes because he keeps his eyes open for things that will make the perfect photo. Jason lives in the great state of Florida and has been a part of Ron’s Amazing Stories since the beginning. He first appeared on the podcast in where he introduced us to his book . If that wasn’t enough Jason is our radio producer. He has been putting the podcast out on the radio for the last 5 years! Jason is also the CEO and founder of Gladys Goodies. • RAS #473 - The Stowaway
On we continue with a year in review from 2020. In part two we conclude with August through December. We have listener stories about bigfoot, pumpkinhead and even a ghost that likes to start fires. There is a classic Sci-Fi story called The Stowaway that is nothing short of amazing. So press that play button and enjoy the show. Featured Story - The Stowaway We have an amazing story suggested by German Finley and read for us by Maddie Ruth. The story is about the first rocket to the moon and one man’s attempt to stowaway aboard it. It first appeared in the If - Worlds of Science Fiction, March of 1952. He stole a ride to the Moon in search of glory, but found a far different destiny. • RAS #472 - A Year In Review
We are close to a new year and I thought that we should do a review. But after the year we have had, and if we are all being honest, do we really want to review it? I for one do not! However, there is something worth our time. This past year has seen more stories than ever submitted to the show. Probably due to our self isolation. We have had more great adventures, amazing encounters and some strangeness that can’t be explained. There is no way we can listen to every story that was sent in. However, what we can do is pick one story for each month. That is what I have done for this week's podcast. I have picked what I think are best listener stories from January to December.  It was tough job picking just 12 stories, but I think I have done it.  You will have to be the judge. -Ron Ron’s Amazing Stories Sponsored by: Audible - You can get a free audiobook and a 30 day free trial at   and - Good Treats for your dog to eat.
