In this episode, our host shares a personal recount of the recent Hurricane Helene, which narrowly missed his home but wreaked havoc in western North Carolina, a region dear to his heart. He reflects on the devastation caused by over 50 inches of rain, the destruction of towns, and the hope for recovery. The host considers ways to contribute to relief efforts, all while feeling grateful for his own safety.
On a lighter note, the host takes us along on his leisurely walk along the Greenway Trail. He discusses his flexible approach to his running training plan and the joy he finds in sometimes opting for a walk instead. He shares the excitement of his recent purchase, a DJI Neo drone, and the potential for creating engaging videos during his outdoor activities.
The episode also delves into the host's experiences with trail running, his past mishap on the trail, and his cautious return to participating in less challenging trail races. He talks about his running routine, the varying conditions of his runs, and the impact of weather on his pace and performance.
In the latter part of the episode, the host dives into his passion for cycling, sharing updates on his Zwift cycling goals and his son's new Canyon bike purchase. He reflects on his own collection of bikes, ranging from vintage models to more modern ones, and contemplates the joys and challenges of balancing conversation with physical activity.
As always, the host appreciates the connection with his listeners and encourages them to keep engaging through emails.

I go over my last week or so of my so-called training and a short trail race.
I am restarting the podcast finally. I think over a year is long enough for a layoff. As usual this podcast is unscripted so I am mostly rambling on again.
I ran a couple of short trail races in the last few months and I just got back from Disney World where I ran the Wine & Dine 5K.
A little training update and that is about it for this episode. Hopefully I can keep this going for awhile.
Episode 156 should have been part of episode 155, but I recorded it a month or so ago and misplaced it therefore I have another episode for you.
Disregard any reference to episode 155 in the recording, ok?
In the episode I go over a Garmin Connect Challenge that I participated in, a little talk about my training and MAF

Another one of those podcasts where I just jabber on about various things. I go through lower back problems, shoe bargains, a new watch and trying to set it up. Oh, and not to forget the project that Alexandra and I are presently working on. I start the podcast on my treadmill doing a walk using Zwift in run mode since there is no walk mode. I am walking around the reservoir in Central Park in NYC. Only see two other people, social distancing I guess.
I ramble on in my backyard as I am picking up sticks. Then I go over some healthy immune system supporting foods. Next I go over how to retrieve a lost or partial ride file on Zwift. Then lastly I go over some of my training info.
