There's bad news for One Piece fans who enjoy watching the anime on Netflix. The streaming platform recently confirmed one of the franchise's specials will be removed next month.

What's on Netflix recently revealed that One Piece: Heart of Gold will be departing Netflix as of Sept. 1. Luckily, this is the only One Piece title that appears to be leaving Netflix at this time, so fans can still enjoy their favorite episodes that are already on the streamer. Heart of Gold is a TV special of the anime that was a tie-in to the One Piece Film: Gold, leading directly into it and telling a separate story that gives fans an even deeper look into the anime's universe.

Even before it officially arrives for the general consumer on consoles, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 has already officially surpassed the original game.

Per Metacritic, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 has officially reached a rating of 76/100 via the industry-standard review aggregator. That the score comes ahead of the game's Aug. 5 release date isn't anything surprising in and of itself, although the fact that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 has already surpassed its predecessor's more divisive score of 69/100 so early on certainly is

In 2020, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train made history, as it became the highest-grossing film at the Japanese box office -- a record it still holds today. Now, in 2025, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Infinity Castle is looking to be following in its predecessor's footsteps -- but it has several anime movies to beat first, even as it enters the top 10 biggest box office successes of all time in its home country.

The newest Demon Slayer movie has become one of the most successful Japanese films of all time, and is now working to surpass the rest of the top 10. The list of the ten highest-grossing films in Japan is still topped by Mugen Train, but that doesn't mean that every member of the top 10 is an anime, or even a Japanese production, although several notable entries are, per Japanese news site Oricon.
