Easter week, or Holy Week, is one of remembrance and celebration for what Christ did on the cross and through His resurrection. We don't want to miss the power of this special week, but we also don't want to leave the celebration of Easter to just one day or week each year. As Christ followers living in a post-resurrection world, we are called to go and tell others of the good news of Jesus Christ and His saving grace. In this episode, we talk about the call on every Christian's life to go + tell others the good news.

Many people are leaving the Church for a variety of reasons: Church hurt, apathy, busy schedules, lack of gospel-centeredness in the church, and more. As a pastor's kid turned pastor, Natalie Runion felt herself questioning if she should stay in the church, too. God specifically told her that she was "raised to stay", so she did. Through speaking, podcasting, writing, and her Instagram account, she's encouraging others to stay as well. In this episode, we talk about why it's important to stay in the church, the impact of living in community, and the way God meets us where we are. We acknowledge the pain that comes from living in community, and the importance of sticking it out, even when it's hard. Take a listen, and then go follow Natalie on Instagram and Facebook, join the Raised to Stay community on Facebook, and connect more at raisedtostay.com.

Parenting is one of the most refining things we'll ever experience, and then through homeschooling into the mix. It's definitely a learning experience for everyone involved. In this conversation with Jamie Erickson, we talk about how homeschooling has helped us and our children grow deeper in our faith in God. We know that homeschooling is not for everyone, but for those that God calls to homeschool, He will equip you to Homeschool Bravely. And in the process, He is faithful to strengthen us, teach us, and grow us. He will use our strengths AND weaknesses uniquely for our children. Because He loves them even more than we do. So whether or not you are homeschooling, this episode will encourage you as a parent. Connect with Jamie on Facebook, Instagram, or at theunlikelyhomeschool.com, and grab her book, Homeschool Bravely!

As Spring is upon us and Summer quickly approaches, many of us start to think about how we need to get our bodies ready for Summer. But friend, that's not it - your body is already good. In this episode, we talk about how God has already made our bodies good, some practical ways we can steward our bodies well, and why we should steward our bodies in order to be effective for the Kingdom.
In this episode, author and speaker, Alexandra Hoover, shares about how God showed her places in her past where there was an Ebenezer stone (a memorial stone) of where God had been faithful even through hard circumstances. In her book, Eyes Up, she walks readers through how to discover their own Ebenezer stones in their lives so they can remember God's faithfulness even when they can't feel Him or see Him moving. This episode helps us discover those Ebenezers in our life as well as how we can be Ebenezers (reminders) for other people, too.

I recently shared on social media about how our sad excuse for a tree was fulfilling it's purpose by allowing a bird to sit on it's singular branch. I compared this to how we may feel when what we have to offer isn't good enough - but when we bring that offering to the Lord, He can do amazing things with it. This post seemed to really resonate, so in this episode, we are diving deeper into this topic. We are talking about how God is looking for faithful obedience over a large or glamorous offering. He sees the heart of the one bringing the offering, and He is pleased. We can be encouraged that God takes our meager offerings and uses them for His glory and the furthering of His Kingdom.

Hot Mess Mom culture has become quite the trend. It perpetuates the idea that if you are a mom, you're automatically a hot mess. It can be silly and funny as we joke about the difficulties of motherhood, but it can also become our identity. In this episode, we talk about how this is not the identity in Christ we are called to take on. The reality is that we are messes without Christ. We talk about how we can't save ourselves, and we need Him to save us. But THAT is our new identity. We are a new creation in Him - and that's what we should be sharing with the world - our identity in Christ - as messed up, but saved mamas.

The journey of fostering and adoption are usually both long and hard. But they are also good, since the Bible tells us to care for widows and orphans. Fostering and adoption are very tangible ways to care for children in need, and we dive into this in this episode. Desiree Johnson felt called to adopt after having two biological children. The Lord led her and her husband to adopt through the process of fostering. Desiree shares how God grew her faith and reliance on Him through this process, and gives us some practical advice and encouragement for those going through the process and those walking alongside someone else on this journey. The Church can and should play a role in fostering and adoption, and this episode will help encourage you as you seek how God wants you to be His hands and feet. Be sure to follow Desiree on Instagram @desireejohnson3.

In today's world, it's so easy to feel lost or lonely right in the middle of a crowd or on an app full of people. We crave to be known, it's an innate desire, but often we look to be known in the wrong places. In this episode, your host, Lauren, talks about being known by El Roi - the God who sees you. This name of God comes from a beautiful (and heartbreaking) story in Genesis, but ultimately, it points us to His character. We are seen, loved, and known by the God who sees. No amount of likes, follows, or subscribers will ever be fulfilling. But being known by the Creator will always be exactly what we need.
