Roscommon Men’s Choir are set to perform a concert at StBrigid’s GAA Club in Kiltoom, in aid of the Athlone MidlandsSamaritans. The concert takes place at 8pm on the 3rd May and Adrianne was joined in the studio by founding member, Padraig O’Rourke to talk about the choir, the fundraisers they perform at and this fundraiser in aid of the Samaritans. Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane has been trying to get a key consultant psychiatrist role filled in the Psychiatry of Later Life (POLL) service at Castlerea’s E-Mental Health Hub, but unfortunately it will remain unfilled due to the HSE’s recruitment embargo. Environmental Innovators is a Transition Yearprogramme run by Agri Aware and BiOrbic. This programme looks at the various challenges that our global food system faces and invites students to come up with innovative solutions towards a more sustainable future. Students from Scoil Mhuire in Trim, Co. Astronomy Ireland is a nonprofit organisation. Founded in 1990 it quickly grew to be the most popular and largest national astronomy club in the world relative to population.Its founder David Moore presented ‘Astronomy on The Den’ on RTE 2 for many years in the 1990s, first with Zig & Zag and then with Ray D’Arcy. Here he joins Adrianne to speak about the recent eclipse and what else has been happening in the night sky.
