Pastor Austin preached on Mary mother of Jesus with his sermon "Mary Didn't Know". Mary was a woman with awareness. Something about the way she led her life prepared her to receive from God wherever and whenever.

Pastor Austin starts his new series this morning called "Out of the Margins". This week he focuses on Rahab the "prostitute" and "mother of kings". The world operates by condemning labels because the kind of forgiveness and acceptance that comes with following Jesus is not natural. Our nature is to let our past define us and to define others by theirs. But in Christ we have redemption because redemption is God’s reputation.

 Pastor Austin Easter sermon, "Taking the Lord’s Name", reminds that Jesus came to give you a new identity, not a new to do or not to do list. Jesus doesn’t want you to change your behavior, he wants to give you a whole new identity. And as you grow to love and understand your identity as a forgiven child of God, behavior will follow. 

Jesus’ lowest point of popularity was when he needed people the most. Spiritual abandonment continues to be a temptation, yet even when we turn away to save ourselves or our reputation, Jesus remains faithful.

Pastor Howard continues "The Great Betrayal" with his sermon "Judas, the One Who Betrayed Jesus". When they hung Jesus on the cross, he looked down at the crowd and cried out to heaven, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” If Judas had waited to hear those words, maybe he could have accepted the forgiveness of Jesus (just like Jesus forgave Peter).

Pastor Austin begins his new series with “Doubt and Deconstruction”. Peter turned his back on Jesus, but he wasn’t the only one. Judas did, too. But the two are not the same – Peter came back, Judas gave up. Peter doubted, but Judas didn’t believe.

This morning Pastor Austin sermon comes from Luke 19:1-10, "God of the Undeserving". You are not saved by your effort, but by grace. You are saved by Jesus' effort. But every effort we make to see Jesus, Jesus will make more of an effort in return to have a relationship with you.
