The GOP are no better than Russian grave robbers.  In Wisconsin, Michigan & North Carolina they attempted or are attempting to severely strip the power of the duly-elected democratic governor in those respective states.

The GOP-dominant legislatures in these states have thumbed their collective noses at the popular vote in those states - wherein Democrats were/have been installed asgovernor - only to be thwarted by GOP midnight legislation designed to stifle or thwart the ability of the newly-elected Democratic governor to exercise their legally-obtained power via the ballot box.

Whether it's the governor's right to appoint the State Board Of Election members, or stripping away the power of the Democratic state attorney general 's ability to handle cases wherein state law is under attack from third-party, outside litigants or to allow for adequate early voting leading up to elections, the GOP is rigging the political system to counter their losses of the governor's mansion at the ballot box.

In Wisconsin, Republicans aim to limit early voting, change the date of the state’s presidential primary to help a conservative member of the Wisconsin Supreme Court win re-election, limit the governor’s ability to make certain appointments and block Gov.-elect Tony Evers from eliminating a state economic development agency.

Another bill would overhaul the state’s elections boards, the latest in a long series of steps Republicans have taken to alter the voting process in the state, many of which have been turned back by federal courts. Other steps would slash currently required environmental reports and reduce regulation elsewhere.

In Michigan, under Governor Rick Snyder, the Michigan legislature has taken it upon themselves to insert the legislature into the attorney general's office by crafting legislation that allows for the legislature to intervene in cases

Paul Manafort has forfeited his plea deal arrangement with Russia probe Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller.  It seems that the Mueller team got fed up with all of the lying that lying Paul committed after agreeing to "tell all" truthfully after agreeing to plead guilty to 1 or 2 counts of tax/bank fraud in exchange for lenient treatment as a witness for the prosecution.

That's in the rear view mirror now.  Manafort is 71 years old and is facing a minimum sentence of 10-years.  Rot-in-hell, bastard!  Manafort figures he'll get a pardon from the Dumpster but unfortunately, Mueller has arranged it so that if that were to happen the State of New York can bring up the same charges where a presidential pardon will have no effect at all.  10-years it is, maybe 20!

The latest LIE involves Manafort secretly meeting with Julian Asange in March-2016 at the Equadorian embassy in London.  You remember Julian Assange - of Wikileaks fame - who engineered the mass dump of Hillary Clinton emails on 2 separate occasions in 2016 - once in August and again in October - designed to do great damage to Hillary's campaign.  

It appears from the timeline - given that Manafort assumed the role of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign manager in March-2016, that these email dumps were planned well in advance by both the Trump campaign - Wikileaks - and the Russian intelligence misinformation operatives.  The starting point appears to be close after Manifort's March-2016 secret visit to Assange.

Manifort, wittingly or not, was a Russian agent at the heart of the Trump 2016 campaign.  Manifort took the job of campaign chairman because he was desperate for income - having fallen on hard times and was willing to trade his crucial position within the Trump campaign to turn right around and work hand-in-hand with his Russian clients to savage the Clinton campaign as Russia

If you don' vote, then you don't have any right to bitch or complain!  You have divorced yourself from any such privileges.  You are literally "out-in-the-cold".  So, keep it to yourself, if you don't pony up and vote!

This story goes all the way back to 1744, when the ambitious but unremarkable clan of al-Saud, one of many clans that divided up the vast Arabian desert, allied with a puritanical fundamentalist named Muhammed ibn al-Wahhab.

The al-Saud clan allied with Wahhab and his followers, known as Wahhabis, who in their fervor could fight as well as preach. The deal was simple: the Wahhabis would help the al-Sauds expand through conquest from a tiny sliver in the Arabian peninsula's central desert to a vast empire, and in return the al-Sauds would adopt Wahhabism as official policy. It worked.

The Saudi empire collapsed in 1818, defeated by the much stronger Ottoman Empire, which seized much of the Arabian peninsula for itself. But Wahhabist Islam had taken root, and the Wahhabis and the al-Sauds maintained their strategic alliance from 1744 through today.

Because Saudi rulers need the Wahhabis' support to stay in power. They need their loyalty, they need the civil society that the Wahhabi clerical establishment creates, and they also need the ideological justification for the vast, young, and in many ways artificial Saudi empire.

When Abdulaziz al-Saud - (the founder of SAUDIA ARABIA) - was born, in 1876, the area we today know as Saudi Arabia was a patchwork of tribal leaders, many of them loyal to the Ottoman Empire or, later, the British Empire. Abdulaziz wanted to restore his family's former empire. He knew that, like his forefathers, he would need the help of the Wahhabis and the zeal they brought to the battlefield. So he formed a band of quasi-renegade fundamentalist militias known as the Ikhwan, or brothers. As before, the deal was simple: the Ikhwan would fight on behalf of al-Saud, and in exchange could impose their ultra-conservative Islam on whomever they conquered.

By the late 1920s, al-Saud and the Ikhwan had conquered most of today's Saudi Arabia. Al-Saud, a pious Muslim but also a forward-thinkin

Republicans are bracing for a total shellacking on Nov. 6, 2018.  Polls show that they are truly the minority party, especially among women.

The democrats are buoyed by the fact that there are 209 congressional districts that are leaning or heavily democratic.  It only takes 218 congressional seats to have a majority.  They need only 9 more seats to lean or go democratic to take such control.

63% of women identify as democrats.  Only 33% identify as republicans.

50% of men identify as republicans while 45% identify as democrats.

So, overall, the number of voters who identify as democrats is vastly larger than that of republicans.

The Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court Senate hearings - overall - are a boon to the democrats.  If nothing else, there will be an absolute deluge of women voters turning out to vote.  Any perceptible bump the GOP hopes to reap as a result of their win in getting Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court will be more than dwarfed by what happens as a result of the huge turn out by Democratic women on election day - Nov. 6th.

In Texas, the 2nd largest state behind California - Beto O'Rourke is battling head-to-head & even with GOP incumbent Ted Cruz to be the next U.S. senator from Texas.  Cruz is on the ropes and O'Rourke is actually poised to pull off one of the biggest upssets in U.S. political history.

Andrew Gillum, the African-American democratic mayor of Tallahassee, Florida is leading Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis in the gubernatorial race in Florida!  African-American Democrat Stacey Abrams is battling the Republican Secretary of State Brian Kemp in Georgia for the governorship.  Along with an O'Rourke victory in Texas, these developments alone could completely tilt the 2020 presidential race as they are major southern states with large African-American & non-white voter populations.

Brett Kavanaugh is a loose cannon.

He certainly can't hold his liquor.

He certainly can't admit to blacking out.

He certainly can't admit to assaulting women & helping others do the same.

He certainly can't admit that he has a belligerent, bellicose & angry demeanor when "baby" Brett doesn't get his way or doesn't have his point of view dominate!

He certainly can't admit that he was coached to be more like Trump --- bombast, bellicosity, overly-aggressive & abusive --- (that last trait demonstrated by his disgraceful counterattacks on Judiciary Committee member, Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota --- herself a former prosecutor!

He certainly can't admit that his absolutely god-awful reference to the Clinton's in his opening statement bespeaks volumes about his conspiracy-laden approach to life and/or politics!

He certainly can't admit that were he to take a polygraph test it would surely indicate - clearly - that Brett Kavanaugh has a tenuous relationship with the truth - @ best!

He certainly can't admit that the FBI ALWAYS precedes ANY supreme court nominee confirmation hearing!

Brett Kavanaugh can't admit that he's skirted the ethics and norms of civilized society because he was brought up in & coddled  and excruciatingly insular and privileged background!

Well, Brett, look into the mirror and just admit to yourself - in private - that you are a lying sack-of-shit that --- most likely --- just torpedoed your chances of ever surviving on the Supreme Court!

So, now we're staring at a total, slow-motion cluster-fuck of a supreme court nomination process now taking place in the U.S. Senate!  This is something right out of a hollywood screenplay --- perhaps David Mamet!

Whether Christine Blasey Ford testifies on Wednesday, Thursday or Christmas Day --- one thing is for certain --- the Republican Party & by extension, Donald J. Drumpf --- is pretty much toasted for good!  Those who identify as Republican will slowly, but surely, "drift" off the GOP roles and end up somewhere between the Democrats & Independents!

Obamacare survived this evil, malevolent GOP drive to bury it!  So too, will Christine Ford triumph - one way or another - in the face of this horrific Republican onslaught of pure, unadulterated terrorism upon our democracy!
