John Dowd, Trump's Lead Personal Attorney Is A No-Go On Trump Appearing Before Special Counsel Robert Mueller For Questioning On The Russian Probe.  It's A Slam-Dunk Bet That Dowd Knows His Client Can't Control His Tongue Sufficiently But Will No Doubt Engage In A Stream-Of-Conscious Line Of Trump Babble That Will Cross All Kinds Of Thresholds Of Perjury & Mendacity.

So, Mueller Will Issue A Subpoena To Trump To Appear Before His Prosecution Team And If Team Trump Refuses Then We Have A Constitutional Quagmire.  But, To Cut To The Chase, Mueller's Subpoena Is Open-Ended And Not "Qualified".  He Has The Power To Compel The Appearance Of Any U.S. Citizen And That Includes A Sitting President!

No Amount Of Chicanery By The Trump Legal Team Will Get Around This "Inconvenient" Fact!   Ostensibly, Mueller Is Operating Out Of The FBI/Justice Department Orbit And Is Therefor The Top Legal Locus Of Power For This Matter.  A Sitting President Is Just That  . . . . . A Sitting President.  He Has Taken A Solemn Oath To See That The Laws --- ALL LAWS --- Of The United States Are Faithfully Executed.  There Is Nothing In That Oath That Says  ----  Unless Those Laws Bear Directly On You, Personally, Mr. President.

Nixon Had To Surrender The Tapes.  His Executive Privilege Argument Fell By The Way Side.  The Supreme Court Ruled UNANIMOUSLY Against Nixon.  Likewise, Trump Will Have To Surrender His "Person" To The Special Prosecutor.  There Is No Executive Privilege That Warrants Defying A Duly Appointed Special Prosecutor, Acting Within The Law And Engaged In A Duly Authorized Investigation.  The Attorney General --- (In This Case, The Deputy Attorney General - Rod Rosenstein) --- Could, Conceivably, Counter Mueller's Legal Authority To Proceed Against Mueller But Only If He Felt Mueller Was Acting Outside Of The Law.

The Dump knows his days are numbered.  It'll take an act of God, an intervention by a UFO mother ship or total amnesia OR mass hypnosis to "stave" off what is coming  ----  AND  -----  make no mistake  ----  it is COMING!

The roosters have come to roost!  The Special Counsel - Bob Mueller - now has virtually all the financial information he needs to nail Trump's balls to the wall.  Trump makes the Corleone family look like an organization that is still learning to ride a bike with training wheels. The only "Deep State" that exists is Donald Trump's underground world of corrupt financial dealings.  And we're not even counting the ungodly + corrupt Israeli diamond mine owners that are tied closely to Jared Kushner & family.

40-years is a long time but when you "fly too close to the sun" --- you best believe you gonna get your ass burned!  Trump was doing fine just playing the big-time "punk" that he was his whole life but then --- what the fuck does he do  ---- he decided to run for President of the United States. Then the game changes. There's an infinitely more "complex" set of dynamics this new world brings with it.

The ONLY way that he (Trump) was able to finance his resurrection --- from his bankruptcies AFTER 2000 --- was the TORRENT of money flowing OUT of RUSSIA and the former Soviet Union countries like Kazakhstan, Azerbajan.  The investors that he got at that point were looking for safe havens or opportunities to LAUNDER money that were proceeds that were basically from CRIMINAL enterprises.

The thing to notice when Donald Trump talks about his relationship with Russia is that he always says I have no business in Russia --- he doesn't say that Russians have no business with me.

As pointed out in a recent MSNBC episode of the Rachel Maddow show ---  Steve Bannon, the one-time chief strategist for Trump, claimed that money laundering may be the real crime that will ultimately bring the Trump presidency to an END.

Donald Trump is writing off whole segments of the world as "shit-holes".  A sitting U.S. President.  Then goes on to say, why can't we get more people from Norway.  Hmmm . . . .  Do you see a "pattern" here?   The countries he labels "shit-hole" are people of color and Norway, obviously, are people who are very "pale".

Trump is digging his own "shit-hole", deeper, day-by-day, disparaging remark-by-disparaging remark.  You know, you start off with a certain amount of "political capital" as president.  It's safe to say that this president has pretty much exhausted whatever remaining capital he had.  His GOP "cronies" in Congress are suffering from Stockholm syndrome.  They've been reduced to a "puddling" pool mass of sycophants.  Precisely what happens to prisoners that have evolved into being eternally "grateful" for the benevolence of their captors.

So, to use the french phrase for "shit-hole", the real "trou de merde" are the GOP members of Congress.  Inspite of knowing what everybody else is capable of knowing - that Trump is a vile, venal, incredibly destructive and dangerous person and personality - they choose to look the other way and aid & abett a national run-away political locomotive.  If there is a better example of a real "trou de merde", aka, shit-hole, the current crop of GOP congressional membes precludes any such possibility.

Bringing up the rear for runner-up champion "trou de merde" are Trump's base  --- or as I like to refer to --- his "beast" --- his supporters.  They are truly "trou de merde".  We need to thoroughly clean out the Trump Latrine with lye & hot steam!  

The Congressional off-year elections in Nov.-2018 will do just that.

Michael Wolff's Book --- "Fire + Fury" --- Might As Well Be Entitled --- "Nero Fiddled While Rome Burned" 

No one denies the "thrust" of Michael Wolff's newly-published book --- i.e., that absolutely everyone he interviewed in the West Wing of the White House (from Nov.-2016 until Oct.-2017) ALL had come to the same conclusion --- that Trump was a child who needed to be the "center of the universe" + incessantly praised.  Naysayers notwithstanding, yes Wolff might have added some fictional "punch" to his account,  but the plain fact is that Wolff's account is based on over 200 one-on-one interviews with staffers within the West Wing.

If his journalistic standards are "soft" --- that pales when contrasted with the sheer direct physical proximity he had with staffers inside the White House for a prolonged period of time - (10 months).  I am not up-to-speed regarding the journalism protocols concerning "off-the-record" and "confidential" --- or --- "background" --- but that doesn't change the stark fact that this cat got the first-hand, "low-down" on the Trump administration --- up close + personal and nothing can even put a dint on that.  Journalism snobs, fuck off!!!  And, by-the-way, he's got over 30-hours of tape conversations as his ultimate back stop.

The Supposed "Coffee Boy" --- George Papadopoulos --- who came on board the Trump 2016 campaign in March-2016 --- was much more than a mere "Coffee Boy".  He had enough "import" within the Trump Campaign in The Spring + Summer of 2016 to 1) make the "edits" on Trump's 1st foreign policy speech  ---   2) arrange for the meeting of Trump & The Egyptian President --- Abdel Fattah el-Sisi  ---  as well as being the principal for coming up with the idea of arranging for a potential meeting between Donald Trump & Russian leader Vladimir Putin through Papdopoulos's sources within the Russian foreign ministry.  Papadopoulos was a "player" in the Trump Campaign & no mere "Coffee Boy".  -------->>>>>

In 2016 - U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies saw some warning signs of Russian meddling in Europe and later in the United States but never fully grasped the breadth of the Kremlin’s ambitions. Top U.S. policymakers didn’t appreciate the danger.

One story line is emphasizing that the intelligence against Trump is fake, his investigators are biased and that he isn’t really so soft on Russia after all. The other story line is adding more factual pieces to their construction of a case for massive Russian interference on Trump’s behalf, reminding us that we were assaulted and that the president is not our own but essentially a puppet imposed upon us by a foreign power.

These maximalist strategies are both distorting. The American people elected Trump and even if a majority voted for his opponent, the blame for the election result cannot all be placed on Russia. Trump also has a degree of legitimacy just by virtue of being duly elected, even if certain criminal
