Cruel Country is the twelfth studio album by American indie rock band Wilco. It was released on May 27, 2022, by dBpm Records. It is a double album.

According to google, 95% of people like this album and Sigh is in the 5% of people who do not.

Returning friend of the show Hilde (@bingennn) joins us to discuss Wilco record Cruel Country and other things Wilco.

Sigh of course tries to talk about the Smashing Pumpkins because that's what everyone thinks of when they talk about Wilco/Jeff Tweedy.

We discuss song writing and Wilco lyrical content, and song writing to fit lyrics or lyrics to fit music, and Sigh asks the age old question "Is this an emo Record?"

Is this Wilco record an emo record? Is Better Than Ezra's album "Deluxe" an emo record? Sigh thinks so.
