This week we welcome back one of our good friends, artist Sean Mills (@SeanMillsMedia)

If you are unfamiliar with Sean he's done artwork for the Bug Mane himself and he did the artwork for the Rounding Down Podcast!

Sean is here to talk about a new project called 'The 100 Best' Project where his next 100 paintings will be the best paintings he's ever done. We discuss what that means to him, his process for painting, and life in general.

Sean is a really talented artist and an even better person and we were thrilled to have him on.

In honor of Sean's inspring work in his community and his dedication to the arts, Chid & Sigh both donated to Fresh Artists. 

Fresh Artists’ impact is visible in art classrooms across the country.  

In the schools of more than half the art teachers we serve, there is no budget for art supplies. Period. Many art teachers must survive by being resourceful, relying on the kindness of community organizations or, more typically, exhaustingly funding their classrooms from their own pockets.

Through Fresh Artists’ delivery of supplies and innovative art programs, children have access to such materials as fresh new oil pastels, air-dry clay, watercolors sets, brilliantly hued tempera paints, sketch pads, brushes and Cray-pas and reams of heavy, bright drawing paper.

Cruel Country is the twelfth studio album by American indie rock band Wilco. It was released on May 27, 2022, by dBpm Records. It is a double album.

According to google, 95% of people like this album and Sigh is in the 5% of people who do not.

Returning friend of the show Hilde (@bingennn) joins us to discuss Wilco record Cruel Country and other things Wilco.

Sigh of course tries to talk about the Smashing Pumpkins because that's what everyone thinks of when they talk about Wilco/Jeff Tweedy.

We discuss song writing and Wilco lyrical content, and song writing to fit lyrics or lyrics to fit music, and Sigh asks the age old question "Is this an emo Record?"

Is this Wilco record an emo record? Is Better Than Ezra's album "Deluxe" an emo record? Sigh thinks so.

PLUS - Hilde performs the title track from the Cruel Country record at the end of the epsiode!

Freeman and Jim stop by Chid's Chambers to discuss how teaching during year 7 of Covid is treating them and their students. Sigh asks what movies are part of their curriculum, and Chid talks about learning Italian and why it's easier to learn languages as an adult.
