In a non-mean-spirited way, I judge each position player on the Kansas City Royals this season and give them some arbitrary grade based on how well or not well they played. NOTHING PERSONAL!!! I LOVE EVERYBODY!!!!!!! Except James Karinchak I do not love him.

It's over. The 2023 Kansas City Royals can't hurt us anymore. No more. The season is over, and maybe the career of Zack Greinke's is too. There's a lot to unpack with that, actually. Why is Derek Jeter the most overrated player ever? That's the kind of originality you can expect from Esteemed Royals Podcaster Michael "Lux" Farina. Anyway, I'm ending the season with a (not at all) flashy awards show where I give arbitrary labels to various players and days of the week. FUN!

If you thought the Royals were a disappointment this season, you should see the White Sox. And the Royals may end up having a connection to that, because our good friend Dayton Moore might be moving there now. This might not sound like a big deal, but given the timeline of that team and how the Royals have already discussed trading Salvy before, it only makes it more likely that he won't be with the team in the very near future. Also, Alec Marsh is cool, but is he actually a started moving forward or just a really, really good reliever?

The Royals attend to the usual affairs in Chicago, losing two of three to the Cubbies--at least, usual affairs as of late because this team is actually looking pretty good for a losing team. I love irony! One big reason for this is the emergence of some dude named Coke Ragans or something who has decided to just pitch better and throw 98 MPH heat about a hundred six times. It's cool when people can just do things like that.
