RRR 78RPM Show – 15 April 2018

Listen Later

Welcome to Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and’30s.

If you’re a fan of vocal close harmony, you should be very happy with the playlist of this week’s show because it’s chock full of female and male close harmony groups. We’re also going to celebrate the birthdays of Elliott Shaw and Victor Schertzinger. In the last segment of the show we’ll remind you how to get a free one-year, 12 issue subscription to The Syncopated Times, the national newspaper devoted to exploring the worlds of jazz, ragtime and swing. We’ll also have a couple of songs about good times and better times. There are at least a couple of records making their RRR debut. If you enjoy the show, please let us know by leaving a comment on the website or the Facebook page or sending an email to [email protected].  And remember, your requests and topic segments are always welcome. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show.

Enjoy the show!
