January 30, 2023RLC Season 2 Running Culture and the Zero sum game with Tom CrosslandIt is important for us to think about the places and spaces we navigate, it is also sometimes how we approach these environments that matters. The zero sum game denotes that there are a limited number of resources and we always need to win to ensure that someone else loses, for instance the competition we can sometimes feel when meeting a new runner. The thing here is that running is a variable sum game, at times you are doing really well, sometimes you may not be, time and fitness can be variable and you are only competing with yourself. This episode discusses how Tom and I are understanding that we are helping each other and we may or may not win, we are sharing the time and sport. We are galvanised by each other's journey's and how we experience each run. This is about how we can nurture a culture for each other.Let us know what you think about this episode. Hosted on Acast.
