Garry Doolan is the sort of ultra runner who runs the really crazy stuff - recently he started The Line - a Mark Cockbain event starting in the north of England and travelling approximately 330 miles down the Meridian Line of the UK to Brighton. He chats to Kate and Robin about Mark's events, plus others such as Huw William's Pen Llyn Ultras, GB Ultras, NAV4 and all the variables you can get in events in the ultra world. They also discuss the demons suffered when something goes wrong and you have to DNF.

In this episode Kate talks to two hugely experienced and accomplished mountain men - Jack Oliver and Joe Faulkner. Jack is a mountaineer and holds the record for the Winter Steve Parr Round and has also done a solo unsupported Winter Bob Graham Round. Joe is the founder of NAV4 Adventure, offering mountain safety, events and support in the mountains.

With guest host Robin Leathley, Kate talks to Mel Sykes about her recent 2nd place at the Summer Spine Challenger and they talk generally about kit, the Spine race and encouraging Robin to sign up for any and all races.

Kate talks to Sophie Power, who recently broke Mimi Anderson's world record for running the length of Ireland. We discuss the importance of her recovery, and how little is known about the effects of running non-stop for 3 and a half days on the nervous system and how it has effected the rest of her year.

Kate talks to David about the Barkley Marathons, witnessing history being made, and the publication of his limited release book which captured the astonishing events this year. 

Kate is joined by Eros Adamides, Sarah Tizzard, Allan Rumbles and Pete Sheath to talk about a new film called Tethered. Produced and directed by Pete from Studio 44, he filmed Eros, a blind runner, and his guide Sarah, during the Copthorne Races 50k. It highlights the incredible relationship a blind runner and his guide have and will be released later in the summer.
