Game of Clothes continues! We closed out the London shows with tons more tailoring and flats. Plus, JW Anderson gave us rhinestone bra harnesses for the modern nomad and Christopher Kane offered meadow dresses for the nature enthusiast. Our excitement fell flat for most of Milan, with Blumarine and Stella Jean posting virtually no points. There were a few highlights from Moschino and Gucci, with Alessandro Michelle delivering the show Gucci needed to push the brand forward. Versace was basically a greatest hits record, but not in a good way. This week in Style Snacks we discuss JVN’s emotional disclosure and Demna Gvasalia’s (maybe not so) shocking departure from Vetements.

New York closed on a happy note (quite literally), thanks to Marc Jacobs. The designer twirled his way around the audience for the happiest curtain call we’ve seen in quite some time. Meanwhile Tom Ford and The Row stayed true to what they do best, while Eckhaus Latta pushed into uncomfortable territory. Tibi put forth a solid collection. And finally, Gabriela Hearst wowed while Zimmerman fizzled. With no time to wait, it’s on to London with Molly Goddard and Marta Jakubowski. Then in this week’s Style Snacks, Claire Waight Keller welcomes a new member of the family, everyone wants Victoria Beckham’s smoky eye and never before seen textiles and sketches are on display at the latest YSL exhibition in Lyon. We’re only a few days into Fashion Month and so much has happened already! Tom Ford kicked off NYFW by announcing new CFDA members and hosting a fabulous dinner (uh maybe our invites were lost in the mail). We’ve seen designers like Brandon Maxwell and Catherine Holstein (Khaite) branch out from their signature styles. Others like Tomo Koizumi stuck to what they do best. Newcomers Area and Christopher John Rogers also provided excitement. And there’s still more NYFW to come… In this week’s Style Snacks, we remember Peter Lindbergh, follow up on Olivia Palermo’s relaunch and discuss LVMH winner Thebe Magugu.

Summer is coming to an end and you know what that means – Fashion Month is here! Game of Clothes is back and we’ve revamped the rules and scoring to bring some excitement to the Spring 20 shows. We’re picking an all new designer lineup and our main focus this season will be female led fashion houses.
