December 18, 2022Preventing Frozen Pipes In Your RV
In this episode we are discussing how to prevent freezing water lines in your RV. What perfect timing as the temps all over the USA seem to be dipping below freezing and causing major havoc all over!

One of the most damaging things that can happen to you and your RV is water damage! Water can cause mold and also delaminates many of the wood surfaces in the RV.

When water freezes, it expands. This expansion can cause the hoses and pex lines to expand. This expansion can cause cracks and subsequently cause water leaks!

So, how can you prevent water lines from freezing? We recommend the following 3 items (all can be found on amazon)

After you begin traveling around to different RV stops, you tend to meet and bump into other fellow full time travelers.

As we were working on our roof maintenance, we noticed our new neighbors pulling into the site next to us. We knew the friendship was in the making when we heard a female voice yell, "Nice Caulk!" Within 10 seconds, Corian yelled out, "Hey, wanna be in our podcast?" The next words we heard, "Absolutely!"

From a podcast interview, to an impromptu bachelor party, to a sunrise wedding on the hill and a lasting friendship.. The rest is history...

In this week's episode, Dave and Corian are breaking down trailer weight and truck tow capacity!

We will admit it, this is a conversation that can be overly complex as well as confusing... but it also has a lot of mis-information that surrounds this topic!

So, what do you need to know?

Trailer Weight vs Towing Capacity:

Gross trailer weight is the total calculated weight of a trailer and its cargo. GTW isn't so much a rating as it is a measurement. Towing capacity, on the other hand, is the maximum allowable weight a vehicle can tow as determined by the manufacturer.
GTW: Gross Trailer Weight
GCWR: Gross Combined Weight Rating
GAWR: Gross Axle Weight Rating
GVWR: Gross Vehicle Weight Rating

November 06, 2022 RV Park Review: Bryce Valley Ranch RV & Horse Park
In our newest rendition of RV of 3, we bring you campground reviews! We thought that it would be helpful to give reviews on the places we've stayed. We are going to give you the truth and always give you "3 things we liked" and "3 things we didn't like" about the different places we stay!

In this review, we visited "Bryce Valley Ranch RV & Horse Park” located in Tropic, Utah. Overall this is a friendly place and has some amazing over the top amenities; full laundry and shower facilities (multiple) and a store This is a luxurious high end, but budget friendly RV campground and good for a weekend getaway, but we highly recommend staying here long term!

Visited from September 16-18, 2022

Would we stay again?: Yes! And we are hoping to be back for a longer stay next time.

3 things we liked:

1) Space and layout: wide spaces and big rig friendly and new!
2) Horses on site
3) So close to Bryce Canyon (20 min)

3 things we did not like:

1) baby tress no shade
2) Slope and grading of sight
3) none!

Trying to buy an RV, but you're getting discouraged with every bank or credit union you've applied at? Maybe you're not sure how to find an RV inspector? Or, worse yet, maybe you've found a deal too good to be true and you want to avoid being scammed!

On this episode we share our story where we believe we were being scammed from a seller in Florida and how we avoided it. We also had 3 banks decline us and almost derail our dreams, but we ended up finding MY FINANCING USA who was amazing to work with.

Last, we share how we used a NRVIA inspector for 1 RV (highly recommend this!) - And how we got a print off inspection sheet that we did on our own.
