We have so many things we can complain about in the world today. The scriptures however reminds us that when we focus on God irrespective of what we are going through, we shall find our joy in the Lord!

The scriptures says that God is a lifter of our heads. While there is a lot that can make our faces downcast with sorry and grief, God is an expert in lifting our heads with a smile and with strength!

Contrary to popular opinion that God attends to us when we are penitent or have a piety face, God takes delight in our joy and celebration. Jesus was called a glutton because He was good at enjoying life. Enjoy life and be happy for the joy of the Lord is their strength

The life of a believer is not meant to be a gloomy and a sad one. God rejoices when his children are doing well. In the hope of a better life we were saved for no eye has seen, no ear has heard and it has never entered the mind of any man the great things God has in store for us!

The scriptures calls believers a purchase of blood. We were purchased not with silver or gold but with the precious blood of Jesus Christ who is a lamb without blemish. Blood is the ticket that Jesus gave us to qualify us for our heavenly home. It's not our CV's that will make us to be accepted by God but the referral of the blood of his Son Jesus Christ. What confidence do you have in approaching God or facing eternity?

Blood in the scriptures was used for covering. The mercy seat the covered the Ark of the covenant used to be sprinkled with blood which acted as a covering. When God who is Holy would look at the Ark of the Covenant that represented his presence, God would not see the ten commandments that had been broken or his provision of manna that had been taken for granted. He would not also see rebellion against leadership represented by the rod of Aaron but would see the blood covering that begged for mercy. Believers are covered by the blood of Jesus against any accusation or attack that the enemy can make against them.

Should a believer participate in rituals that involve blood sacrifice? No! The scripture forbids God's children from participating in sacrifices involving blood which the Apostle Paul said are made to demons. The blood of Jesus Christ provides protection for believers in Jesus but we risk opening ourselves to demonic attacks the moment we participate in rituals that involve shedding blood. The blood of Jesus Christ is the blood of the final covenant that has been shed for our sins. We should avoid participating in traditional or modern sacrifices that are made to appease the spirits. The blood of Jesus speaks for us

The blood of Jesus offers protection for believers. Just the way applying blood on their doorposts, saved the Israelites firstborn from the angel of death, faith in the blood of Jesus provides a covering for God's people against dangers from the enemy. His blood is able to save completely those who come to God through him!

There is power in the blood of Jesus that can cause life to flow in any dead situation of our lives. The scriptures says that the life of all living things is contained in their blood. Jesus was more than a child of Mary but was indeed God and the life of God was contained in his blood. His death exchanged our death for his life. We can enjoy life in abundance made possible for us through the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Blood of Jesus Christ is one of the most strategic weapons we have against the devil. What was meant to be a moment of defeat became a glorious moment of victory as Jesus defeated the devil on the Cross as the lamb of God that took away the sins of the world. We have power against the enemy through the blood of Jesus
