The scriptures present Satan as a defeated foe. He was thrown out of heaven with his following angels and the scriptures emphasis that there was no place for him. Whereas he may try to exert his power and influence as he did during the times of Job, he can only do so to the limit that God permits. The good news however is that even with all his evil intents, God still works for the good of his faithful children.

Waging spiritual warfare means recognising that we are in warfare and there is an enemy roaming out there seeking someone to devour. This should not cause us fear but rather help us to be conscious and alert in all that we do!

Spiritual Warfare is also fought in the realms of Angels and Demons. Angels are God's messengers who are used to minister to God's children while demons are fallen angels who serve the devil trying to deter God's children

Our spiritual victory begins when we are able to know who our enemy is. We do not fight against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces!

Beyond what we can see with our physical eyes, there are spiritual forces that hinder the prayers of God's people

Conflict in the family especially between husband and wife is another cause of unanswered prayers. Treat your partner with love and respect

God has created us to be a blessing one to another. As the scriptures says, no one lives for themselves; when we choke the flow of God's blessings by failing to help those who come to us for assistance, God can refuse to answer our prayers. Don't choke the flow of God's blessings. Give those who need your help and see God release what you need.

God places a lot of emphasis on our human relations. Conflicts and offenses between brethren is listed as one of the reasons why God may not answer our prayers. It's important we pursue peace with those who God has brought our way because God cares about our relationship with one another.

The scriptures points to the fact that Sin can choke the flow of God's blessings into our lives. This includes sin which in most cases affect our relationship with God

God is motive oriented and many times we may miss out on God's blessings when we pray with the wrong motive. When we pray out of greed, covetousness or impure motives, God may not respond to our prayers because He blesses us to be a blessing!
