Everyone has a breaking point. Frustration can lead us to making rash decisions. In this story of David (Part 9), we learn about David and Abigail. Abigail's quick thinking prevented David from committing a horrible crime.

When David was given an opportunity to rid himself of King Saul, he chose rather to save his life. David was patient. He didn't want to take personal vengeance. Instead, he wanted the LORD to take up his cause. Christians today should avoid allowing frustration with corrupt governments to tempt them into rebellion. God will take care of such things in His timing.

Paul tells us the right kind of spiritual clothing to wear. These are not physical clothes. Instead, we should put on the right actions and behavior.

This is a combined message of our Sunday School and worship services. Brother Keith describes how God wants us to respect life.

David found help when he escaped from King Saul. Jesus used this episode to define our priorities of human life over lesser rules.

David was anointed by Samuel to be king. However, Saul held on to the throne of Israel. Furthermore, Saul pursued David as if he was an outlaw. This message is about the need to find God's guidance during threatening times. Also, it is a message about not assuming that today's wins guarantee tomorrow's successes.

Sadness, worry, and defeat haunt many people. In Psalm 64, we read how the LORD wants us to be joyful, faithful, and victorious. Make this a theme for the new year.

The story of the wise men is found in Matthew Chapter 2. In this story, God communicates with the wisemen through a star, the written word, and in a dream. God also communicated with Mary and Joseph by dream. The point is that all of these people obeyed the Heavenly message.

This year, listen to God. Then obey what He says. By obeying Him, we shall be added to the extended Christmas Story written in Heaven.
