In anticipation of Ash Wednesday, Fr. Eric speaks about we might engage in the penitential practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving in a more purposeful and intentional way, focusing specifically on sins involving speech. As a key example, Fr. Eric refers to the Lord's words about becoming a good tree and being mindful that speech arises out of the abundance of one's heart (cf. Lk 6:43-45).
