This week we haver the pleasure of the company of standup comic Chris Washington. A native of Wigan, Chris has a growing list of accolades and achievements attached to his name. From appearing on big BBC panel TV shows to being scooping the coveted Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Chris is in the long lineage of Northern comics who turn the mundane into the hilarious and he can certainly spin a yarn. We sat down with Chris in Cultureplex in Manchester and heard how he juggled his job as a postman with the long haul drives to comedy gigs, how Blackpool holds a romantic place in his heart, his drive and passion as a musician, messing about in school, going from 5 to 10 to 20 to an hour, taking Wiganers to Edinburgh and loads, loads more. This is episode 107 of the Two Shot Podcast with Chris Washington.
