Our guest today is Canadian born actor Cameron Britton. He's best known for his captivating and dynamic portrayal of serial killer Ed Kemper on Netflix's series Mindhunter which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. His recent credits include the crime thriller The Girl in the Spider's Web and Netflix's The Umbrella Academy. You can also catch him in Discovery Channel's new series Manhunt alongside other such memorable talents as Paul Bettany and Judith Light.
Cameron says himself that he doesn't like acting often, doesn't go after the money, and only takes roles he's invested in. He says "no" all the time. "No," he believes, is the most powerful word in an actor's vocabulary. But before that, he said "yes" to everything. He honed his craft at AMDA and doing theatre around Los Angeles where he felt safe to experiment.
His stories may save you from vomiting in a lobby, help you get to the heart of a character's actions, and may even help you nail that next agent meeting. By the way, Cameron *loves* doing self-tapes and offers a few pointers on why you could love them too.
