Hello pod-friends! We are back, back, back! Series 2 kicks off with the brilliant, funny and talented Rhodri Marsden. As well as being one of the funniest and most charming people on Twitter, Rhodri is the keyboard player in Scritti Politti and a noted author and journalist. Rhodri shares his Phonographic Memories with us and picks some of the most surprising and interesting tunes yet. We also have a new feature called 'Around the World' in which we examine why certain types of music manage to blossom in the most unexpected of places. This week we consider Jazz in Japan with J-Jazz 3 curator Tony Higgins. Tony explains how a genre born in the ghetto's of the USA took root in the far east, it's a fascinating story revealing a rich seam of musical gold. The show kicks off with Anne and Eamon just being excited about being back, discussing New Years resolutions and Britney Spears. Hello, hello ... it's good to be back!
