Join Jamie and Maggie Clark as they discuss how to help someone cross over the other side. In this episode, Jamie and Maggie gathered questions from listeners. They provide the guide on what to do when a loved one is on the phase of transition where they are ready to cross over.

The Power of Presence

When a loved one is getting ready to cross over to the other side, Maggie says that being there during the process is very important. She explains that if someone is at that phase of transition, their energy gets so sensitive that being present is how to help them cross over and live a happier life on the other side. Being there also means that they can communicate what they want to communicate. Jamie shares his experience in his family when his mother was getting ready to graduate from cancer. Because his sister requires special needs and round-the-clock care, his mother wanted to make sure those are taken care of. Jamie's presence made his mother's transition smooth since he was there to give his mother assurance. In the end, his mother's last memory before graduating was a happy one because she was laughing. One's presence at the time of graduating from life gives comfort to the loved one crossing over to the other side.

Energy Healing Techniques

Being calm, present, and really holding the space is one way to help a loved one cross over. Giving permission to go and making sure their last wishes are acknowledged help a lot in the situation, but there are also energy healing techniques one can employ to help loved ones to cross over. These things, according to Maggie, are what is learned when studying energy healing – similar but in different modalities. These techniques are dependent on the person receiving it because some people are not comfortable with energy work. One technique is the Jin Shin Jyutsu, a Japanese healing technique. In this modality, the fingers become like jumper cables to recharge the battery of life. There is also the cranial sacral therapy. To do this technique, gently put the hands to cradle the back of the head without any force or pressure. It does not speed up the transition phase, but presence gives the loved one support, compassion and love.
