This week we are either investigating a regular X-File or being digested by cave mushrooms (dealer’s choice) while we discuss “Field Trip”! We’re talking how much Jim Beaver loves bog sludge, Scully scraping mountains with her truck, how romantic it is to decay together, how hurtful it is that Mulder got betrayed by goo, and get excited about Mulder and Scully raising an alien baby together. We get freaked out about Mulder getting skeletonized, realize immediately that this is a hallucination because Scully would NEVER admit she was wrong, Ella gets passionate about fungus horror, and the world-shaking terror that is Scully getting Scully’d. Also, just a tip: you know it’s true love if you start sharing the same hallucination. Just saying.
