Thirty South African agro-processing companies from six provinces will showcase their products at the Anuga International Trade Fair in Cologne, Germany, this week. The biennial event, themed "Sustainable Growth," is the world's largest food and beverage fair, drawing distributors, retailers and importers globally. In 2023, over 7,900 companies from 118 countries exhibited, with 140,000 trade visitors from 200 countries attending. The South African participation is supported by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition through its Export and Marketing and Investment Assistance Scheme, aimed at helping local products enter new markets.
