Sabbath School Study Hour

"In what ways might your expectations of what you expect from God be too narrow?"

'This week, as we continue our study of Matthew, we will look at a few of the Sabbath controversies and see in the life of Jesus a manifestation of what it means to keep the Sabbath."

"What things, even in secular life, remain mysteries to us? Do we stop believing, for instance, in the existence of the sun simply because of the many mysteries about it that we don't understand? How much more so, then, with questions of faith and the Word of God?"

"Whatever our physical struggles, even in the worst-case scenario they will always and only be temporary. Why is it crucial that we never forget this truth?"

"How different would your life be, right now, were you to love your enemies?" (Chantal and Gerald Klingbeil)

"Why is humility so crucial a trait for Christians? How can we learn to be and stay humble? What role should the Cross play in helping us in this crucial area?"

"If God receives us despite our faults and shortcomings, how can we learn to do the same with others, despite their faults and shortcomings?"

"What happens to us, either individually or as a church, that could make our love for God grow cold? How do we keep a passion for God and his truth burning within us year after year?"

"How can we bring healing and unity when people just don't agree on what we might believe are crucial points?"

"The greatest barrier Jesus faced with His followers was their preconceived opinions. The disciples took little notice of what Jesus said if it did not fit in with their own ideas of who He should be."
