Cycling SA General Manager Mike Bradley was pleased to see KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Cycling Development Trust riders compete in their first major race as they rode in the SA Junior Championships that took place this weekend in Westville, KZN. Seventeen of the KZN Cycling Development riders competed with some learning the hard way why time trial is called the "Race of Truth" and Bradley the racers will develop over time. Of the winners Tiano Da Silva won the U19 men’s time-trial, Frances Janse van Rensburg won the women’s U19, Bertie Emmett Anderson U17 boys, Chante Olivier U17 girls, Adriaan van Zyl U15 boys and Kita Uys who is showing lots of promise won the U15 girls. Uys’ says she had a fun race. Coach Dumisani Ndzimakwe is a district officer training the development riders and speaks about the work he is doing in training these riders.
