Our inaugural annual SABWiL Human Rights Court lauds the entrenched Right to Freedom of Expression, section 16 of our South African Constitution, Act No. 108 of 1996. Our training court commemorates the signing of this supreme law into being on 10 December 1996 in Sharpeville, Soweto by the late Tata Madiba, Nelson Mandela. Aspiring litigators prepare heads of argument and appear to address our Justices who are seasoned in law practice. Do peruse the court papers filed at www.sabwil.org.za at our SHRC tab at #s16 for a deep dive. This discourse touches on the African philosophy of Ubuntu and Zenzele, which is part of our #s16 SHRC opening address, presented by the late Author and Poet Maishe Maponya. SABWiL is founded on Dignity, Equality and Freedoms infused in Ubuntu and Zenzele. Respect is integral to our core. For more, explore www.sabwil.org.za.
