Then in the 4th quarter Russell Westbrook harnessed his hatred for how the Nuggets treated him after last season and absolutely barbequed them.

The King's losing streak is now 9, after a tough loss to the Thunder and a beatdown against the Grizzlies.

The Thunder game showed what the Kings could be when they were locked in. They remain competitive throughout the game but simply couldn't keep up with the Thunder. But this was the Thunder so to a certain degree it's understandable and if they show up with that level of effort they can be a decent team.

But that effort did not translate as the Kings get stomped in Memphis and lost by 41. The Kings looked disinterested and broken as a team and questions linger about the players' future on the team as the looming trade season approaches.

It was another inspired but ultimately losing effort from the Kings where they couldn't get on track on offense for much of the game and the defense never found it connectivity.

The Kings followed up their embarrassing performance against the Hawks with a respectable showing against Minnesota.

It unfortunately still ended in a decisive loss, but the effort was there, and that's all we can ask for. It's the sad state the Kings are in currently, 3-10, 13th in the Western Conference with very little way to turn things around with the current construction of the team.

There will be light at the end of the tunnel at some point but that is a long ways away ...

Kings played their first game on NBC in 23 years and they actually showed out.

They unfortunately did not pick up the win but they didn't go down to the Nuggets without a fight and that's something they could hang their hat on.

But that energy did not carry over into the game next night against the Hawks as the Kings get obliterated by 33. The Kings got destroyed in transition and they couldn't find a rhythm offensively.

And it won't get any easier as the team departs on a 5 game road trips and it will be another murder's row of opponents.

Welp, the Kings are in a rut as they get blown out in humiliating fashion again at home.

The offense is struggling to find a groove with all of their high usage guys and the defense is just turrible. The body language during the game was great either, and Coach Christie's message about defense is is antithetical to his actions in benching Keon Ellis.

The Kings are in a rough spot and it'll be tough to find a way to make this all work, if it is even possible.

The Kings were just not up to task in beating the Thunder. Their defense was swiss cheese and their offense had very little success against the Thunder's suffocating defense.

It was the battle of the shorthanded teams as the Kings without Zach Lavine and Domantas Sabonis battled the Warriors without Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler.

The game started out in the Warrior's favor as the Kings struggled on offense and their defense was getting shredded. They would turn the game in their favor in the 3rd quarter and then it was a shootout in the 4th in which the Kings won out.

The Kings will need to find a way to start games better as it's been every game it feels like that they come out flat on offense and defense and it puts them in a hole that they have to claw out of.

Regardless, they get a nice win at home with a triple double from Russell Westbrook and they get to light the beam!

The Kings traveled to Denver and were unfortunately soundly beaten by the Nuggets.

The Kings hung tough the entire game and didn't give in and kept fighting, but the Nuggets were just too much for them to handle.

The Kings did play well, so hopefully they're able to build off of this despite the loss.

For the first time since 2015, the Kings get a win in Milwaukee. And it was much needed one too. The Kings had lost their last 3 and really needed to show something here, and they did.

Despite starting out absolutely horribly, where it looked like they were going to get blown out by 30, they slowly clawed their way back and by halftime it was 1 point game.

And out of halftime, they kept up the pressure and were able to protect their lead all the way until the end with some really heady and timely plays.

Good win for the Kings and it will be on them to build upon it.
