  • 1 Kings Chapter 20 - Bible Study for Atheists
Husband and Wife cover 1 Kings chapter 20: Ahab Defeats the Syrians. This chapter is baffling. There's another lion attack out of nowhere, more chariots and horses get stomped, some trickery from God that literally makes no sense, and a "certain prophet" who remains unnamed so he actually wasn't very certain after all. We relate. We, too, are uncertain.

For reals, this is an oddly told story, about an odd incident, oddly placed out of context of the Books of Kings. But resurrection tho!

  • 1 Kings Chapter 16 - Bible Study for Atheists
Husband and Wife cover 1 Kings chapter 16: The Reign of Baasha (cont.) / The Reigns of Elah and Zimri / The Reign of Omri / The Reign of Ahab. So many kings, so little time, each worse than the last. We get a call-back to Asherah Poles, and there's even some Baal up in here! These people are a mess.
