Husband and Wife cover 2 Samuel chapter 24: David Numbers Israel and Judah. God tells David to do a census and then gets mad at David for doing the census. God says he'll punish David with three days of plague and then makes David build him an altar to end the three-day plague that was already due to end. This chapter made no dang sense.

Husband and Wife cover 2 Samuel chapter 23: The Last Words of David / David's Mighty Men. It starts out with some nonsense poesy that wants to be singing REAL bad, but alas, Wife is done with that mess. Then it moves away from David shining himself on, straight into one of those overly-lengthy, insufferable lists of names that literally go in one ear and right out the other. Sure wish David would hurry up and exit stage left - "He had it coming!"

Husband and Wife cover 2 Samuel chapter 20: The Avenging of the Gibeonites / Abishai Rescues David from the Giant / The Giants Slain by David's Men. God causes a three- year famine to kill thousands, until David coughs up seven of Saul’s descendants to slaughter, because that's definitely a fair trade. And then there are more giants, which we are always excited about.
