Job's Faith That God Will Vindicate Him.
Yep, Job is still Jobin' and he gets all wrathy, claiming that God is gonna show his so-called friends a thing or two with some sword. Yeesh, J-dog! That's a bit too vengeful for our taste. Keep your sword to yourself! I mean, there's vindication and then there's outright MURDER. Maybe don't?

Bildad Describes the Fate of the Wicked.
There are nets and nooses and traps and snares. There are lamps getting snuffed and fires going out and darkness and sulfur. There is calamity and disaster, horrors and terrors, dogs and cats living together — mass hysteria!
Wait, that last bit was from Ghostbusters. But if you listen to Job's friends, it definitely applies. They think Job is a very bad boy, and they are not sugar coating their ideas of hell and damnation.
Spoiler Alert: Job's friends are very dumb.

Job Complains of God's Dealings (cont).
People are spitting on Job, and he has lost a ton of weight. He's still really depressed and talking about an early grave. Job's friends are completely worthless.

Job Complains of God's Dealings.
Homeboy refers to his chums as "miserable comforters" and swears he would never do them so dirty. Then he starts in again about how God is super mean. But even so, Job refers to God as his "advocate" which is just ludicrous! My guy, God is not only NOT advocating for you, he's actually allowing Satan to work AGAINST you!

Husband and Wife (don't) answer questions about Job and his friends; there's nothing to figure out. It's not rocket science. Next: Moth daddies can smell that sweet sweet vagina from miles away. I guess mothy pootang is more odiferous than a mothball?

Eliphaz Reprimands Job.
Wife gets super turned up over this arrogant sumbitch. He is a master class in gaslighting and sets off all Wife's triggers. He tries to man-splain the sitch as he sees it and comes off so smug that Wife wants to slap his stupid face into next week. We're already dealing with a real-life Karen and don't have the emotional fortitude to put up with Eliphaz' tomfoolery.

Job Muses on the Brevity of Life.
God is giving his homeboy a really long leash here, letting him ask a lot of very valid questions, and we are here for it. Like, you know how many steps I took today, but you can't tell me what I did to earn all this trouble? Job calls bullshyte on God's shenanigans.

Job Defends His Integrity.
We are really proud of J-Dawg! He tells his "friends" to STFU, and then he tells God, "Face me or you're a coward." Solid stance! Then we chase a wild tangent down a radical rabbit hole and ponder the need for mothballs, followed by a super basic question:
Are moths just ugly butterflies?

Job Affirms God's Power and Wisdom.
Our favorite quote from this chapter lies in verse 3: "I am not inferior to you." Job starts out strong, telling his so-called friends to eff off. But then he kinda winds down, and we wander off, screeching (again) about our neighborhood Karen. Yeesh, she's a piece of something.
