The Invasion of Sennacherib / The LORD Delivers Hezekiah / Hezekiah's Sickness / Hezekiah Receives Envoys from Babylon / The Death of Hezekiah.
Hezekiah was good, but then he wasn't good, but then he was good again, so he got to be buried in the good cemetery. Meanwhile, Sennacherib was pretty badass, but that didn't stop him from having his bad ass handed to him when his own kids got all stabby at him. Maybe he should have written them letters like he wrote to Hezekiah.

The Celebration of the Passover (cont) / Hezekiah's Provision for the Priests and Levites.
Ain't no party like a barley party unless it's a state-sanctioned hoe-down consisting of statue-smashing activities followed by involuntary tithing, taxes, donations, and gift-giving that ends in heaps so high ya gotta build storehouses for all those cunningly obtained leftovers! The grift is real, the con is long, and Hezekiah prospered.

In this episode of the Sacrilegious Book Club. Topics include some of Solomon's wise judgement; talking animals; the nature of snakes; malicious compliance; and school librarians caught up in small-town local politics.
Next time, we will continue to cover some entries from Heroes: Wise Men — Riddle Solvers. We hope you'll get a copy of the book and read along with us.
The Celebration of the Passover.
There was a big ol' hoe-down in Jerusalem that lasted two weeks, with lots of meat and and music and merriment. Passover was a mf blast, y'all! And God was like, "CoolCoolCool." But lots of people made fun of the runners carrying the partay invitations which is super embarrassing. I cringe on their behalf.

The Reign of Hezekiah / Hezekiah Restores the Temple Worship.
Lots of good animal murder happening here! So much blood and sacrifice and cleaning up the God goods. Music ensues, and singing and whatnot and what-have-you. Then we argue about whether all Levites are priests and it turns out Wife is mistaken. Listen, you husband. We need to talk.

The Reign of Ahaz.
This guy was so bad he even sacrificed his own sons to Baal, but we fail to see that it even matters since he got to rule just as long as his Yaweh-worshipping daddo. Israel gave back the people they had conquered from Judah, but Ahaz was still like, "No Yaweh for me." Then God got aroused, which isn't surprising since there were lots of naked folks.

The Reign of Jotham.
This guy was so good in the Lord's sight that he barely scores ten minutes of our time. Tell me again why it pays to follow God's ineffable plan? (*BONUS POINTS* if you can tell me what show "God's ineffable plan" is from!)
