Saint Louis Live!

It’s a crazy busy weekend on Saint Louis Live this weekend. Cardinals lost last night but a 7-3 road trip is still pretty excellent. Football happened last night and the over covered so Gaines is happy. Gaines wants Jeff to put his finger in Lance Lynn’s chest. Is it weird to wear a team’s gear when you’re covering them? Probably. Gaines and Jeff differ on their opinions of movies and going to them. La La Land really was pretty good, guys. Make sure you come see us at LouFest!

Carlie joins the guys in studio. Shockingly that is followed by a Mike
Lee phone call. A tinder date got poop stuck in a window after the
toilet did not flush. A lot of random conversation take the place for
the next 20 minutes including marriage and divorce. Roger Goodell
answered a question on FS1 saying that he is not a Football expert.
Fair or Foul closes out he show as it does every day.

Adam Grinwis of STLFC joins the show to discuss the season and their
upcoming game this weekend. We talk about the Michigan Wolverines with
the former UM Goalkeeper. The morning melee is released and Fair or
Foul. We name 11 MLS teams and that is amazing. Jeff loves Wetzels
Pretzels.

Football! Football! Football! The best sport kicks off tonight and we
are ready. Travis gives everyone his rankings of NFL QBS and NFL RBs.

We go through the QBs and see where the Kaepernick fit is. We think
about reading our fantasy football rosters. The Cardinals are back!
Travis makes a bet if the Cards go to the playoffs. The Browns are
cursed.

Cards win and they’re 2 back, and all of the sudden we *really* have to pay attention. No idea when the Memphis Redbirds turned into a good team, but suddenly they are. Juan Nicasio is a Cardinal, but if no one noticed, does anyone care? Does that add excitement to the Pirates series this weekend? Some rules were changed in the NHL yesterday, and the offsides rule could still be tweaked. Gaines and Terry Yake have some interesting ideas. RIP, Noel Picard. Is Gaines agoraphobic? Events are fun.

Ezekiel Elliott's suspension was upheld by Harold Henderson but the saga is far from over. There are 5,000 twists and turns to the case. The Red Sox cheated with Apple Watches and the Yankees are mad. The morning melee and fair or foul are released today. Is the US Government creating these hurricanes. Yo! What's up with the Red Cross. Internet history or streak through Loufest.

Cardinals talk starts off the hour. They are headed to the World Series. A breakdown of Jeff Jones' junior high school days and his go to outfit. A very lengthy discussion on the Athletic and their new strategy takes up most of the hour.

Cards win last night behind some Jose Martinez power. The Redbirds are coming, tra-la. Not the Cardinals, though. Do we care that Harrison Bader was down in the minors for most of the season? It’s hard to transition to being a backup after you’ve been a starter for a long time. Realizing your home arena isn’t good is pretty rough. Gaines has opposition to the band Fun and is touting his loyalty. Seeing bands get hostile with crowds can be a really weird experience. 

Out of the gate after a long weekend with Cardinals talk. Carlos Martinez with a complete game shutout and he looks big time like an ace. Your catfish Cardinals are going to be a real team all the way through the end of the year, apparently. Defense optional in CoMo, but at least Drew Lock was fun to watch. Fox News is going off the air in the UK and the consolidation of media is a big time problem. Gaines is back from Arizona and his hangover is predictably brutal. It seems like MLS money is still on the table and is itching to get spent. Why are developers in St. Louis so shy about playing up the actual development angle?
