Simone Biles had some heat given to her by a Russian gymnast. The

Carlie Lawrence joins the guys in studio for the 9 am hour and a
little Target Practice. Ted Cruz is the target today. Travis and
Gaines stalked Jeff at Berra park. Jeff shares a story about how he
fell down stairs after a shower. Story time with Jeff Jones. The
people's Fair or Foul is read to close the show as it does every day.

Cards won last night and didn’t gain any ground. It’s hard to complain about being at the ballpark late, but in a blowout, it may not be much fun to be there. Seattle announced a new arena yesterday and the Calgary Flames also showed up with Gary Bettman to make a statement. Teams haven’t updated their communication strategy for demanding arenas in a really long time. Gaines doesn’t believe that technological updates have a lot to do with fan experience, but he also hasn’t been to many games in other cities. Travis makes a surprise appearance on the Wake-Up Hour, and neither he nor Gaines wants to talk analytics.

Jeff went to the Cards game last night and held Lance Lynn
accountable. The gang went to Berra Park to throw the pigskin around.
and Gaines feels vindicated. Jeff Jones actually held Mike Matheny
accountable on his quote about Wainwright. Another discussion about he
Cardinals off season. Fredbird almost killed John Mozeliak yesterday.

Some 90s and early 2000s NBA talk dominates the early part of the
second hour. A train calls in to discuss the post Jordan Bulls. Jamie
Moyer's Fancy Foyer send in his WAL power rankings. Fair or Foul and
the Morning Melee is released. Paul Lukas from UniWatch joined to
discuss trends in uniforms across the NBA and NHL. Travis wants to
change everything about the Cardinals jerseys.

Kid Rock blocked the Detroit Free Press from his opening of the Little
Caesar's arena. A little debate about some Kid Rock classics.
Nickelback is a great band according to Gaines. Jeff gives us some
dumb Canadian fact. Jemele Hill calls Trump a white supremacist and is
now in hot water. A larger discussion about ESPN takes place in the
second half of the hour. Fair or Foul is read to close out the show.

Football happened and Gaines is not happy about it. The 35-0 didn’t cover for the SLUH freshmen and he doesn’t want to talk about it. Gaines wants Jeff to hold Mike Matheny accountable but it’s hard to do so. Matheny said that Adam Wainwright is still the ace. Why would you need to run down Carlos Martinez in order to support someone else? Petteri Lindbohm fell in the forest but maybe didn’t make a sound. Gaines thinks that Blues fans are more entitled or whiny than other fans and it turns out he may be right.

Saint Louis Live is team Cardinals this morning.  Some Golden Corral
talk this morning. Gaines tells stories about his alma mater doing an
iron chef competition yesterday. MNF last night was fairly interesting
which led to two calls of the game. The Chargers are in Los Angeles so
that's a thing. More LouFest talk about cell service and kids at music
festivals. Kentucky has some famous people.

A little Lupe Fiasco talk to start the hour. Some fantasy football
advice was given out early in the hour. Ted Cruz had some interesting
likes on twitter last night. We are talking about a field trip to Half
