Chris, Travis and Gardner begin the final hour with Denman educating Trav about entertainer Jason Schwartzman’s unique career and family lineage. TT prepares to announce the book titles on former President Barack Obama’s summer reading list, but is rudely interrupted. Not one member of the “Saint Louis Live!” cast has seen the new movie “Crazy Rich Asians” just yet. Gardner discloses he still has not watched the film “Black Panther,” leaving Travis incredulous. Trav is looking to start a Tyler Perry movie club. CD would consider Loufest a failure if artists Michaeal McDonald and T-Pain don’t collaborate at the event. Gardner makes it known his grandmother dressed him up in a sailor outfit as a child. TT recaps WWE’s “SummerSlam.” The Black Sheep wins #FairOrFoul.
Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B are broadcasting LIVE from Southtown Pub. Gardner is riding high after the #CartBlanche bullpen cart movement received a lot of publicity on social media and the internet last night. Plus, Gardsy plays a one-on-one interview he scored with Nationals closer Sean Doolittle in which the two touch on the “BCM.” Doolittle is likely the face of #CartBlanche. Local comedian Yale Hollander drops by to participate in a game of “Target Practice.” The group sets their sights on Omarosa Manigault Newman, former top aide to President Donald Trump. Yale hangs out for the remainder of the hour and chats about a few topical issues with the “Saint Louis Live!” cast.
Benjamin Hochman, “St. Louis Post-Dispatch” sports columnist, joins the show to discuss the #CartBlanche crusade and a variety of Cardinals related subjects. Would you rather be called “bro” or “bruh” by another person? Is living as a kept man (possibly in Frontenac, MO) fair or foul? The crew brings up the groundbreaking of the Blues new practice facility yesterday while also wondering if eSports could have a significant impact in our area. Travis struggles to read the “Sentence of the Week” yet again and then falls into the nickname “Lil’ Bocce.” It’s not pronounced how you’d think.
Jon Beeby, founder of By Jack merchandising company, stops by to detail his involvement with “We Are Live!” and the “Last Laugh” comedy stage at Loufest. Nashville comic Nate Bargatze joins the program on-location to preview his appearances at Helium Comedy Club this weekend. Nate also documents performing at outdoor festivals and in front of bachelorette parties. “Bruh” beats “bro” in the #MorningMelee. Henrik Cornelius Swarthy Frenchman wins #FairOrFoul.
Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B begin the second hour once again detailing WAL!’s involvement with Loufest. With the luxury of hindsight, how would you categorize the TV sitcom “New Girl” over its seven year run? Is Travis’ internet browsing history #FairOrFoul? Travis still confidently believes he is capable of becoming a kept man. His conviction leads to a conversation on the wealthy St. Louis suburb of Frontenac. Jeff Jones, “Saint Louis Live!” correspondent, drops by to discuss watching movies at Plaza Frontenac, several Cardinals related topics and the Blues hiring of Joe Vitale as their new radio color analyst.
Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B are all in-studio. “We Are Live!” is teaming with Loufest to host the “Last Laugh” stage at the event. The Cardinals win their eighth straight, but slugger Matt Carpenter exits the game early after being hit by a pitch on his right hand. Carpenter says he will be fine and opened a sealed jar of his homemade salsa to test the affected area. Chris asks if the Cards should retaliate against the Nationals for beaning Carp. Travis calls for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to beat the Nats’ president mascots as a measure of vengeance. He then demands the Redbirds sign Carpenter to an extension in the offseason if he wins the N.L. MVP Award. A listener text suggests a particular person is working to land a NBA franchise in the “Mound City.” The group “thought showers” the idea of Trav as a basketball play-by-play announcer. His catchphrase would be “Hey man!”
Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B start the final hour touching on the news music icon Aretha, “the Queen of Soul,” has passed away at the age of 76. The crew smoothly transitions to a game of “Make It Racist” featuring Travis’ spin skills. Trav will not admit he is in the back pocket of the Walt Disney Company. Gardner provides a sound reason the Cardinals should immediately employ a bullpen cart (#CartBlanche) and then proceeds to document an almost Lime scooter collision he witnessed. TT wants the show to take a “back to school” photo together. Jamie Moyer’s Fancy Foyer wins #FairOrFoul.
Mia Jackson, comedian, actor, and rising talent joins Chris to discuss LouFest and the big We Are Live! announcement. Enjoy!
Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B are all in-studio. Chris teases a big announcement involving “We Are Live!” coming your way in the eight o’clock hour. The Cardinals are in “seventh heaven” after topping the Nationals at Busch Stadium last night. Travis still won’t apologize for his criticism of Cards executive John Mozeliak despite the team’s recent success. “Call of the Game” features Redbird pitcher John Gant’s first career hit. Dr. Ed Migneco, Hillside Animal Hospital veterinarian, drops by for his weekly chat and plays a game of “Dogs on Film” to boot. Dr. Ed’s daughter Anna, an acclaimed vet in her own right, joins the segment as a special guest.
Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B begin the second hour with a major announcement concerning “We Are Live!” and Loufest. The crew will be hosting a live comedy tent at the event highlighting both local and national acts! Who is the “bro-iest” bro on the Cardinals? Is secretly recording conversations with others fair or foul? A broad conversation regarding those covert talks and internet search histories breaks out. Travis asks an interesting question on this topic relating to couples.
