    Multitenant architecture is a program that allows Salesforce to accomplish just this. Ian Varley is a Principal Architect here at Salesforce and he has been working on this program for the last 10 years. Beyond software engineering, Ian has also earned degrees in philosophy and music. Since then, she has received support and community that has helped her overcome her fears.

    Today, we talk all about this topic. Imposter syndrome is widespread within the technical community. It’s a common denominator for many within this ecosystem. Amy and I discuss what it is, how to identify it, and what to do about it.

    Gigi Zanolli is a developer advocate and her mission is to enable Tableau’s developers to be successful in their usage of our APIs and developer tools. Before moving to Seattle, she helped customers all around EMEA with their Tableau adoption.     John Daniel is a Salesforce architect for the B3 group. Even before working with Salesforce, he had encountered programs that had constant issues and technical debt. He found that Salesforce projects brought unique challenges when it comes to designing at the org level and maintaining properly divided applications that respect a separation of concerns. 

    John was also part of the group of developers who brought about the first-ever Salesforce DX implementations. Today, we’re talking about his experiences using Salesforce DX for technical architecture.

  • 041: Salesforce Hierarchy of Tools with Thomas Dvornik

    Thomas Dvornik is a principal member of the technical staff here at Salesforce. He has always known that he wanted to work with computers in some way, but had a hard time choosing between computer graphics and computer science. Ultimately, he came to choose the math side of things, which brought him to Salesforce.

    In the episode, Thomas and I talk about his long career working on developer tooling at Salesforce. He has seen the Developer Console morph into its current form and talks about how it and the Tooling API influenced each other.  We also talk about the role of the upcoming Code Builder and how the layering with the Salesforce CLI works.
