  • CHRIS DORSEY: WRITER, PRODUCER, HUNTER
On this episode of the Salty Hunter Podcast, we have Chris Dorsey from Dorsey Pictures. Chris has had his hand in the hunting industry for the last few decades and has some pretty amazing stories to tell. I didn't really give him a chance to introduce himself, and that's my fault as a poor interviewer, but Chris has a pulse on just about everything when it comes to the outdoors. Everything from filming to hunting to serving on conservation boards. Hunting the same moose 2 years in a row, to predator calling a 10 foot brown bear on Kodiak. He has hunted everywhere from Africa to Alaska, South America to Spain with some interesting characters along the way.
As always none of this is scripted or pre planned, so this freeform conversation I had with Chris was certainly a pleasure to have. We talk about ballot box biology, government overreach in conservation, Pebble Mine and some of his newer films and books. This was an awesome conversation with a guy that is extremely passionate about the conservation of wildlife and presenting hunters in a positive light. Thank you all for listening. We love every damn one of you.

  • GREG MCHALE: WILD YUKON MAN
This episode the Salty Hunter Podcast we have Greg McHale from Greg McHale’s Wild Yukon. Greg is a former professional adventure racer, badass sheep hunter that lives in the Yukon Territory of Canada. Greg has raced all over the planet in some of the harshest conditions I can think of. He's an extremely accomplished sheep hunter and hosts his own television show. Knowing that people like Greg exist in the world inspires me to go farther and chase down some of those crazy ideas that I might have. We also talk about mindset and how that can push you through harsh conditions and help you in everyday life. We talk about his wife's running career and their adventure racing style of hunting. It fascinates the hell out of me, and I know you guys will enjoy this conversation. Thank you all for listening. I love every damn one of you.

On today's episode of the Salty Hunter Podcast, we are joined by Gary’s old friend Will Romanik. Will and I served in the army together but lost touch for a couple of years after I moved back to Alaska, so this episode is a reunion of sorts.
Will has led an extremely interesting life since he separated from the military. Everything from commercial diving to treasure salvaging, contracting in Afghanistan, and running his own spearfishing outfit in Florida. We talk about all those things and then have an honest discussion about his first big game hunt in New Mexico. We then talk about (and make fun of) Gary’s back-cast while learning to flyfish. This is an extremely interesting episode and I hope you all enjoy.
