Part 3 - San Diego Distillery
San Diego Distillery makes incredible whiskey. Facts!
Other local distillers have said that San Diego Distillery is creating a craft whiskey movement in San Diego that is similar to what IPAs did for the craft beer movement.
Have you ever done a blind tasting before? We had the unique opportunity to taste and discuss 7 different whiskeys (or non-whiskeys). Owners Maria and Trent Tilton educated us on what officially can be called a whiskey versus a spirit made from XYZ ingredients.
We were also joined by the owners of Copper Collar Distillery Scott Nixon and Jason Pelle who added to our discussion of the San Diego distillery industry and the laws governing it.
Hope you enjoy the show.

Thank you Maria and Trent for allowing SDCC to record our podcast at your soon to be re-opened distillery and tasting room.
A special thank you goes out to Jason and Scott for sharing your knowledge and experience in the local distillery industry. We are hopeful that more and more San Diego establishments and events will get to know and support San Diego micro-distillers so that we all can build our economy together.
