Welcome to the San Diego County Insider's Guide to Summer Nights at The Sound.
The Sound is the newest entertainment venue at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. And during this year's Fair, this modern, indoor event space will feature glow-in-the-dark lasers, dance parties, side-splitting comedy, and can't-find-it-anywhere-else performances.
Summer Nights at The Sound shows require a special paid admission ticket. Prices vary depending on the show. But any way you slice it, it's a great value because tickets to Summer Nights at the Sound also include same-day admission to the 2025 San Diego County Fair. This means you can enjoy the Fair all day long before capping your night off with premium entertainment.
Now, here is a rundown of our Summer Nights at The Sound lineup.
First, the Taylor Shines Laser Spectacular helps kick off the summer with shows on June 11th and June 12th. These dance parties are for fans of all eras. Both nights start at 6 p.m.
Then, on June 13th and June 14th, we will feature the return of the Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular. This immersive experience begins at 6 p.m. on both nights.
The following week, we welcome "Whose Line is it Anyway" star Colin Mochrie and hypnotist Assad Mecci for "Hyprov," a show that blends the fun of improv and hypnosis.
On June 20th, we will have a very special screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show with a special in-person guest appearance from star Barry Bostwick. This participatory screening begins at 8 p.m.
On June 21st, The Sound welcomes TV star dog trainer Cesar Millan at 6 p.m.
And finally, on June 28th, The Sound will feature Big Gigantic for a night of electronic dance music. This show begins at 8 p.m.
