Welcome to your San Diego County Fair Insider Guide to what to expect if you are visiting the Fair on Friday, June 27, 2025. Get ready for a day packed with entertainment, education, and delicious fun.

Today is the last chance for three special promotions. All day today, kids 12 and under receive free admission.

From 11 AM to 4 PM, you can play any carnival game for only four credits as part of our Game On Friday promotion.

Also between 11 AM and 4 PM, for Foodie Fridays, try any of the 18 Fair-Tastic Foods Competition finalist items for 50% off. Find out more at SDFair.com/food. You can also try more than 40 value meals for just $15 all day.

There is plenty more to see and do today, too. At 11 AM, you can dig for treasure, explore the Excellent Gem Experts exhibit, or marvel at Sphere-making Demonstrations. Don't miss the Great American Petting Farm or try your hand at driving a Tesla Cybertruck in our infield. For music lovers, catch Tom Griesgraber performing.

As noon approaches, the fun continues with the Academy of World Dance n' Arts, Bromeliad Day, and fascinating Culinary and Lacemaking Demonstrations. You can also watch the spectacular Dock Dogs in the Del Mar Arena, enjoy the Euphoria Brass Band, or cheer on the Swifty Swine Racing Pigs. The Horse Show Experience and the Winery and Brewery of the Day are also great options.

In the afternoon, at 1 PM, enjoy Art Demonstrations or participate in a Corn Shucking Contest. The Pet-tacular Parrot Show, The Perondis' All-Star Stunt Dog Show, and The Wilder Show offer family-friendly entertainment. Don't forget about Wine Tasting!

Later in the day, at 4 PM, catch DayTripper and the Sixtiesmania band. More Dock Dogs, GASCAR, and the Pet-tacular Parrot Show are also available. At 5 PM, Addie Smith and The Flying Royals will be performing.

As evening sets in, enjoy Acoustic Spot, Culinary Demonstrations, and the Heartlight Movement starting at 5:30 PM. At 6 PM, there's another round of Dock Dogs and Swifty Swine Racing Pigs.

The night heats up with performances from Jeff Martin at 7 PM on the Avenue stage. On the Grandstand, the Jon Pardi show is sold out. Then, to cap off the night, The Expendables perform at 9 PM on the Chevrolet Paddock Stage.

Welcome to the San Diego County Fair's Insider Guide to what to expect on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the San Diego County Fair.

The Fair is open from 11 AM to 11 PM today, giving you plenty of time to explore all the excitement. And the "Summer Pet-tacular" fun continues, and today offers a fantastic blend of music, unique exhibits, and Fair favorites.

The carnival rides and games in the Fun Zone are open all day, and ride-lovers can purchase a Pepsi Pay-One-Price wristband for unlimited rides between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Animal lovers won't want to miss the Stunt Dog Show, with performances at 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5:30 PM in Family Funville. You'll be amazed by their tricks, agility, and high jumps. And don't forget to catch the always entertaining Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, with races happening throughout the day, including at Noon, 1 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:30 PM, 6 PM, and 7:30 PM in the Durante Area.

For something a little different, be sure to check out the Del Mar Rose Society Presents Rose Day. From 11 AM to 5 PM in the Garden Show area, you can stop and smell the roses with stunning displays and even a special speaker at Noon.

And, of course, no visit to the Fair is complete without enjoying the classic attractions. Take a spin on your favorite carnival rides and test your skill at the games in the Fun Zone. As of 10:30 AM, the northbound exit-only lane for Via de la Valle is partially blocked by emergency vehicles due to a traffic accident.

The result is slower-than-usual traffic on what we expect to be a busy day at the Fair. Traffic is still moving, but will need to divert around the accident.

We expect the accident to be cleared relatively soon, but we appreciate your patience. We can't wait to see you at the San Diego County Fair.

The Fair opens its gates at 11 AM and will be buzzing with activity until 11 PM. Entrance gates close at 10 p.m.

Throughout the day, animal lovers will have plenty to enjoy. The "Summer Pet-tacular" exhibit continues to be a must-see, offering interactive experiences like a giant ball of yarn and a pet-pairing quiz. The San Diego Humane Society will also be on hand with animals available for adoption. Make sure to catch the Stunt Dog Show at 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM in Family Funville for some amazing tricks and agility displays. The fair is open from 11 AM to 11 PM, continuing our "Summer Pet-tacular" celebration. For our animal lovers, be sure to visit the "Summer Pet-tacular" themed exhibit. You can play with a giant ball of yarn, "swim" through an aquarium castle, discover strange-but-true animal facts, and even take a fun pet-pairing quiz to see which species best matches your lifestyle. The San Diego Humane Society is also on-site, showcasing dogs, cats, and rabbits available for adoption, giving you a chance to meet your potential new family member.

Also, don't miss the daily GASCAR, the Great American Speedway Crazy Animal Races, where goats, sheep, and pigs race for prizes. We also have Swifty Swine pig races, stunt dog shows, flying acrobats, and more.

Starting bright and early at 11 AM, the Fire & Safety Expo kicks off in our Arena! This family-friendly event runs until 6 PM and includes firefighting and safety demonstrations, a fire and burn prevention pavilion, and of course, the highly anticipated Firefighter Demolition Derby. At 1 PM, witness the Burn Run Fire Truck Parade and Opening Ceremonies. The preliminary heats for the Demolition Derby begin at 2 PM, with last chance qualifiers at 4:45 PM, leading up to the final heat at 5:30 PM. Admission to the derby is free once you're inside the fair.

Throughout the day, you can explore the fair's overarching theme, "Summer Pet-tacular." Head to the Theme Exhibit, "Pets Rock: Live on Tour, presented by Kahoots," where you can experience the world from a pet's perspective.
