  • Is 1% of Self-Realized Individuals Enough to Uplift Humanity? | 1% மக்கள், மெய் உணர்வு பெற்றால், மனிதகுலம் முழுவதும் உயருமா?

In the 13th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan speaks of His divine duty, to awaken at least one percent of the world into Kundalini MeiUnarvu. When even a small fraction attains true awareness, it uplifts the rest of humanity toward nobility, prosperity, and peace. From the sacred Southern Kailash, the Thirumoorthi Hills, these powerful waves of thought and spiritual energy spread through Tamil Nadu, across India, and to the entire world.

For self-realised masters, duty itself is God.
The Guru has now taken full responsibility to perform his divine duty. His mission is to offer a powerful, and transformative MahaYoga to the world. As Paranjothi GnanaVallal Mahan has said, in this world of billions, if even one percent of people are initiated to MeiUnarvu, their virtue will benefit all, just like rain that falls for everyone because of the goodness of a few.
In the same way, if even one percent of people rise to higher states of awareness (MeiUnarvu), becoming noble, realizing the Self, attaining true wisdom, and experiencing ultimate truth, then through them, the rest of humanity can live with well-being, prosperity, happiness, and fulfillment. With this firm faith, the goal is to uplift at least one percent of people into MeiUnarvu.
People of India, people of Tamil Nadu, if you rise, the entire world will rise. Do you not already possess immense and unique strength? Tamil Nadu has always nurtured and uplifted all who come here. If even six crore people here grow spiritually, that alone is enough to bring goodness to the whole world. When Tamil Nadu rises, India rises; when India rises, the entire world rises. Therefore, if these people rise as noble beings, their growth will naturally embrace and uplift others.
For this reason, this yoga must be simplified and made accessible to all people. This place is not ordinary, it is divine (தெய்வீகம்). It is a sacred space that brings out the hidden divinity within human beings. It reveals the divine nature that lies within each person and elevates them.
Those who come here experience divine qualities such as love, knowledge, strength, bliss, and peace. This place treats everyone equally, without any discrimination. It does not look at anyone’s faults. A person may be seen as wrong by a mother, a father, or society, but to the Guru, no one is a sinner. The Guru works only to uplift everyone. The true nature of the Guru is to remove ignorance.
This Jnana Peedam removes all flaws within a person, elevates their higher nature, and guides them towards a state beyond birth and death, a life of immortality. It grants knowledge needed for this worldly life and also elevates the wisdom required for liberation. It is a holy place where divine energies, like the Trimurti, are present, guiding beings towards ultimate freedom.
From this auspicious space, spiritual energy is once again beginning to spread. Just as spirituality once flowed from the northern Kailasa, it is now radiating again from this southern Kailasa, spreading its spiritual waves far and wide.
Whoever you meditate upon with deep focus, you can experience their presence here. You can receive their darshan and even attain what you seek from them. In earlier times, there was a belief that one should not visit this place after evening, as unseen energies were active here and could create fear in those unprepared. But even today, this land continues to radiate powerful spiritual energy.
That spiritual force is now set to spread once again, from Thirumoorthi Hills of Tamil Nadu, across India, and throughout the entire world.

  • You want to grow but why do you still doubt yourself? | நீங்கள் முன்னேற விரும்புகிறீர்கள்! ஆனால் இன்னும் ஏன் உங்களை நம்பவில்லை?

In the 13th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan adds that ignorance of our true Self (Avidya) is the fundamental root-cause of all suffering, and that only through self-belief, inner conviction and absolute trust in the Divine power within can one transform destiny, transcend self-doubt, limitations, and attain the highest realization.

If you think, you can become anything. What are you thinking now? If you think, “I am an angry person,” you will remain angry and never come out of it. If you think, “I am poor,” you will stay poor. Why? Because God is within you. Ask Him: “O God, I want to become very wealthy. I want to become a great doctor like him. I want to become a great leader in this nation.” Will He give or not? Doubt arises. This doubt makes you fall. Believe. Believe in yourself. Believe that you have a wonderful spiritual power within you. If you trust yourself, you can achieve anything.
You trust others Guru, father, and so on. But do you trust yourself? If you say you trust me, did you study well? If you trust only me without effort, what will you gain? Nothing. So whom should you trust? Trust yourself. Believe that Divine power is within you.
From a young age, I did not think of becoming a doctor, a leader, or a rich man. I wanted to become God. Whatever form I worship, I wanted to become that. Because of that, I entered into yoga. I found a true Guru. But finding a Guru alone is not enough. You must experience it. You must realize your true state.
Many people have received this teaching. They have some awareness (MeiUnarvu) but they have not deepened it through penance or knowledge. They have not crossed the physical body, the subtle body, or the knowledge body. So they remain as ordinary beings in this world.
If you trust yourself, you can achieve anything in this world. When I say trust yourself, what should you trust? Your body? If you do not feed it for two days, what will happen? It will fail. So do not trust just the body. The mind and intellect are also not enough. Trust the spiritual force that governs all three. If you trust the Divine power (MeiUnarvu) within you, everyone can live happily in this world.
My dear people, my complete blessings are always with you. When you sit here under this Pranavaalayam (pyramid structure) and meditate, it gathers the energy and does not let it scatter. So your mind becomes calm and moves to the next level, the level of knowledge (intellect).
There are stages of mind: outer mind, inner mind, deep mind, and beyond that, the super-conscious mind. All the secrets of the Universe are in this super-conscious state. Just as rockets go to space from a base, you can go within and realize your soul (Atma). This Atma is a reflection of the Paramatma. This state exists everywhere, inside and outside all beings.
That alone is “I.” I am That. Everything that exists as “I” is That. Because people do not realize this truth and identify only with body, mind, and intellect, many problems arise in the world due to ignorance.
Therefore, this path of yoga helps every person rise higher, realize themselves, and perform their duties well. When you realize yourself and do your duty properly, and serve all beings in the world, everyone can live happily. That is the Divine duty realized by the wise.

  • How Does meditating in the "Pranavalayam" - The Golden Pyramid, at UPF, Help Focus and Transform Our Thoughts? பிரணவாலய தியானம் நம் மனதை எப்படி எளிதாக ஒருமுகப்படுத்துகிறது?

In the 13th Holy Penance, Gurumahan explains the significance of meditating in Pranavalayam, the pyramid structure @ Universal Peace Foundation in TM Hills. He explain how the pyramid has unlimited cosmic energy and when one enter this space, they can easily still the mind, enabling one to transcend the physical and subtle realms and connect with higher states of consciousness. Through samyama—dharana, dhyana, and samadhi—one can realise the primordial power within and awaken to the ultimate truth.

You are seated in Pranavalayam, a Holy place. We created this pyramid structure for an important reason. In other places, atomic movements stay very active, so your thoughts do not become focused. Sunlight falls everywhere, but when you use a convex lens, it gathers the rays into one point and gains the power to burn cotton. In the same way, this Pyramid -  pranavalayam has attracted all the  cosmic energy and hold it within that space.

A person’s future depends on the thoughts they hold while living. That is why elders said charity and dharma must come from what is truly yours. People changed this meaning. They think they must first earn more and then give. But what truly belongs to you? When life ends, only the charity and good deeds you did will follow you into your next life. In this world, When you sit for meditation, only then  unwanted thoughts start to flow. Until then, the mind feels calm. But once you sit for meditation, the mind wanders everywhere. Why? From this earth, to some feet of distance, Subtle unseen forms exist around you, though you cannot see them. As soon as you sit, they influence your thoughts, just like incense spreads fragrance. You may suddenly get thoughts that are not yours.
Do not worry. Tune your mind like a radio. A radio receives different waves, but you choose the frequency you want. In the same way, turn your mind toward the right thoughts. Otherwise, you will stay stuck in one state and lose meditation.
So you must rise higher. Go beyond this physical world to the subtle world, then to the causal world. The knowledge vibrations left by great beings exist there and beyond. A yogi must move beyond ordinary thoughts and connect to that higher level.
Then you understand what sages like Agathiyar, Vyasa, Patanjali, and Thirumoolar taught. Whatever you meditate on, you become that. Samyama includes these 3 - Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (liberation).
When you worship Lord Murugan with deep devotion, and think only of Him, your mind rises to a higher state. In that form, you can even experience His presence. You can speak, and it will respond. It becomes your light, your guide, and your support.
This happens because of your devotion and faith. Anyone who lives with unchanging love for God will realize this truth. Go beyond small forms of worship and think of the ultimate reality, the source of everything, the primordial power. When you think of it, you can become it. Whatever you think, you can become.

  • What is our breath really doing beyond just keeping us alive? | நம் சுவாசம் உயிரை காக்கும் செயலுக்கு அப்பால் என்ன செய்கிறது?

In the 13th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan unfolds the three cosmic functions creation, preservation, and dissolution and shows how they are reflected within us through inhalation, retention, and exhalation, illustrating that the vast macrocosm is mirrored within the human microcosm.

Realizing oneness is true wisdom. Believe that God exists, and understand that He is one. If everything has come from that one source, then all the qualities of the Almighty God are present in everyone. Just as a child carries the qualities of the father, all beings carry the nature of the Supreme, who is like the one father and mother of all. So, whatever qualities exist in the Divine also exist within you. That is why you must express those qualities. What is the purpose of temples? They help lift human beings from animal nature to human nature, and then from human nature to Divine nature. Great saints, sages, yogis, and seers realized this supreme wisdom within themselves. To share it with everyone, they established temple worship methods. In temples, there are three forms of worship: worship of form, formless-form, and formless.
That is why in Thirumoorthi Hills, there are three forms of deities. Whatever exists in the Universe also exists within the human body. Thirumoorthi Hills reflects all aspects of the human body and its nature. Here, there are three deities: one who creates, one who protects, and one who dissolves. Brahma creates, Vishnu protects, and Shiva (Rudra) dissolves. According to yogic science, these three also exist within us. Creation is the inward breath, preservation is the holding of breath, and dissolution is the outward breath.
Inhalation, retention, and exhalation—these are the three processes. When you inhale, you draw in the unseen life energy (prana) that fills the entire Universe. It enters through the nose, goes into the lungs, and then into the blood, refreshing it and purifying it. This is not just oxygen; it is also the creative force that existed from the beginning of the Universe. At the origin, everything existed as a single atom. When it was just one atom, there was no creation. That creative force itself is God.
Different forms appear because of the sustaining force, often called Vishnu energy. The creative force is also known as Kundalini energy. Each atom joins with another, creating attraction. This is called magnetic force or cosmic sound (Nada Brahman). When this energy combines and moves, it creates life force (Jeeva Shakti). When these forces unite, they become prana, the active energy within us, also called Rudra Shakti.
Thus, one energy becomes three—creation, preservation, and dissolution. These three processes also appear in our breathing: inhaling, holding, and exhaling, expressed as Brahma, Vishnu, and Rudra. These exist both outside in the universe and inside us. Just as there are sacred rivers outside, there are also three subtle channels within the human body namely Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna. Like the Ganga flows from the head of Lord Shiva, in humans, a vital center exists in the brain (hypothalamus). When the energy rises from the base of the spine (Muladhara) through the central channel, it becomes a continuous inner flow. When this energy awakens and rises, a person can live a healthy, prosperous, and fulfilled life without shortcomings. Thus, whatever exists in the Universe also exists within the human body.

  • If Love Is Enough, Why Do We Still Seek Everything Else? அன்பே போதுமானது என்றால், நாம் இன்னும் ஏன் மற்ற அனைத்தையும் தேடுகிறோம்?

In the 13th Velvi Discourse, Gurumahan teaches that love is the greatest wealth and what comes through love truly benefits life, while what comes through conflict brings no real blessing. Gurumahan emphasizes to be grateful to your parents, seek the Guru’s grace, and let your wisdom grow into kindness.

First, whom should you be loving? Be loving towards your mother and father. You say “thanks” even to someone who shows you the way to a place. Your mother carried you for ten months, turned her own blood into milk, and raised you without caring about flies or mosquitoes. Your father works day and night, through sun and rain, thinking, “Let my son be well, let my daughter be well,” and raises you with that wish. To such a mother and father, offer your thanks.
What do you expect from the Guru? Why have you all gathered here? Tell me, only love, right? Do you want anything else? Love. What do you ask from God? If His grace is there, that is enough. In the same way, what do you need from your mother and father? Love is enough.
You may not receive property, that is fine. Even if you do not give me property father, it is okay; your love is enough. If that love is there, it is enough. If a father lovingly wishes to give you ten lakhs, you will receive even more than twenty lakhs. But if you fight, argue, demand your share, and say, “I am your own child, give me my part or I will take you to court,” then even if you get fifty lakhs, it will not benefit you. Why? Did it come from your father’s love? No, it came from a curse. Anything that comes from a curse will not be useful. So, love your parents.
Why did the Guru receive blessings from His mother? Whatever the Guru does, you must also do. You must follow it.
In the North, wherever you see, no matter who comes into a home whether a king, a mendicant, or a beggar people follow “Atithi Devo Bhava” (the guest is God). Someone may be a great judge, a collector, or a powerful political leader outside, but when they enter the house, they bow in humility. One must have humility and reverence.
As a person’s knowledge rises, love must increase. That is why love, love, love. Without love, nothing exists in this world. As knowledge expands, love must grow. What do we do with knowledge? We interact. Then what do we do? We travel quickly from place to place from here to California, from there to Australia, then to Europe. Why do we go? Not for nothing, but to share love, to spread love.

  • How Do Parents and Teachers Shape the Future of a Nation? ஒரு நாட்டின் எதிர்காலத்தை பெற்றோர்களும் ஆசிரியர்களும் எவ்வாறு உருவாக்குகிறார்கள்?

In the 13th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan explains the role of mother, father, and teacher in shaping the life and character of a child. When these three pillars guide a child with wisdom, love, and righteous values, the child grows into a noble and responsible human being. Such individuals become the foundation of a harmonious society and a strong nation.

I offer my heartfelt blessings to the Divine women born on this sacred land. On this Holy Earth, you give birth to many great people such as saints, sages, scientists, leaders, good teachers, good farmers, and hardworking labourers. That is why people compare you to Mother Earth and worship you.
Fathers hold great responsibility and possess the wonderful ability to work not just for yourselves but for your spouse, family, relatives, community, nation, and all people, without thinking only of your own welfare.
As mothers and fathers, may both of you raise noble sons and daughters with good thoughts so that this Earth may regain its purity.
For a nation to rise, it must grow in both economy and wisdom. This country already stands at a very high level in wisdom. If India also becomes strong in its economy, it will shine as a leading powerful nation in the world. There are favorable conditions for India to emerge as a developed nation.
For a nation to prosper economically, it needs good industries and technology. For technology and industrial growth, strong intelligence is necessary. For strong intelligence, good education is necessary. To provide good education, we need noble teachers.
To raise noble children, you must be good mothers and fathers. To help children grow as excellent, virtuous, capable, and pure human beings, we also need good teachers.
If the three, mother, father, and teacher, stand strong in a family, then the child receives proper guidance. When these three guide a child well, the family prospers, society prospers, the nation prospers, and the whole world prospers. Therefore keep such good thoughts in your hearts.

  • Why is offering food to yogis, saints and enlightened beings considered the highest form of dharma? | ஞானியர்களுக்கு அன்னதானம் செய்வது ஏன் உயர்ந்த தர்மமாக கருதப்படுகிறது?

In the 13th Velvi discourse (2002–2003), Gurumahan explains that the highest dharma of householders is to honour yogis, nourish seekers with food and service, and thereby receive Divine blessings that protect and uplift their lineage.

The scriptures say, “Atithi Devo Bhava”, a guest is like God. Our dharma is to give food to guests and respect them as divine. Dharma also teaches us to see the mother as God, the father as God, the guru as God, the brother as God, and the brother’s wife as divine. According to this dharma, giving even one meal to a guest brings great merit.
But today you are not guests. You are yogis and wise seekers. In the coming time, you will arise as divine souls, as great sages, rishis, and seers. Therefore, doing even a small good deed for yogis and noble people like you brings great merit.
Many wise seekers have come here today and shared food. Many people have already sat inside the pyramid and practiced meditation. From now on, many more ascetics will come here every day. Some of these spiritual seekers are visible to our eyes, and some are not.
Offering even one meal to them brings great benefit to you and also becomes a strong protection for your life. Because of this, serving the welfare of people and protecting spiritual centres of tapas (JnanaPeedam) and wisdom is considered the highest duty of householders.
That is why householders build temples, create ponds and water sources, and do many good deeds for society. All these acts form their greatest dharma. Today, the service you have done for this divine place is also one of the highest forms of dharma.
This divine power returns your offerings with double blessings. It also brings growth and prosperity to your family lineage.

  • What do we take with us after our body dies? | உடலை விட்டு செல்லும் போது, நம்முடன் எது வருகிறது?

In the 13th Velvi Discourse (2002–2003), Gurumahan reveals the soul’s journey beyond the physical body and the dharma that protects and follows it across worlds. He further explains how the thoughts we nurture in life become attached to the subtle body and travel with the soul.

When you leave this physical body, what goes with you are the charities and good deeds you performed in this body. Whether you did them with expectation or without expectation, those acts of righteousness will protect you.
My dear people, you only know about the life you live now. Only great sages know what happens after this life. When you leave this body, the thought you hold at that moment will continue with you in the next state of existence.
Your life does not end with this physical body. Your life continues even after this body. Because people do not clearly understand that future life, many think, “Let us enjoy everything while we are alive.” They believe that life is only seeing with the eyes, hearing with the ears, smelling with the nose, tasting with the mouth, speaking, and enjoying pleasures.
But the thoughts you hold while living in this world gather together and travel with your life energy when you leave the body. Just as this body lives in the physical world, there is also another world after leaving this body. You may not see that world now, but you experience something similar every day.
Each day you sleep. After sleep, you see dreams. In dreams you experience many things. Your subtle body experiences those dreams. After that, when you go beyond the dream state and enter deep sleep, another state exists. In that state you experience bliss.
There may be many worlds, but let us consider only three for now. While you live on this sacred Earth, the charity and righteousness you perform protect not only you but also your lineage.
My dear wise people, whether you know it or not, whether you understand it or not, the good deeds you perform will always bring good results to you.

  • Purpose of 13th Year Holy Penance : Restoring Love and Harmony in Humanity | அன்பின் சக்தியால் மனிதகுலத்தை ஒருமைப்படுத்தும் 13 ஆவது பிரபஞ்ச நல மகா தவ வேள்வி!

In the 13th Velvi discourse (2002-2003), Gurumahan shares the purpose of 13th year of Holy penance for Universal Wellbeing, and  explains that when the human heart is filled with love, it naturally radiates harmony into the world. This sacred quality mirrors the compassionate nature of Lord Vishnu, the cosmic protector who preserves the balance of creation.

When we perform Velvi (Holy Penance), all humanity should come into harmony. Many mental conflicts arise because love becomes weak. This lack of love changes into anger, deceit, and jealousy in different forms.
Just as the body suffers when the stomach does not receive proper food, a human suffers when the waves of love, a wonderful force of attraction, decrease within. When this happens, the speed of blood circulation reduces. The body’s life force and heat energy also decrease. Because of this imbalance of vatha, pitha, and slethuma, many physical and mental illnesses arise.
Humanity must receive these waves of love. Attraction through love is the nature of Vishnu. Vishnu’s quality unites things together and creates new energy. That is why we say Vishnu represents purity, calmness, and love. In the future, the world will transform into a world that carries this Vishnu quality.
Whenever the principle of love decreases, many problems arise among people. Therefore, this Velvi is performed to bring back and express the principle of love again.
This penance is also done to draw the higher invisible spiritual energies to the earth, so that the tapas and yogic practices performed by sages may greatly benefit humanity.
During this Velvi and even afterwards, a rare medicine exists here that can remove the three kinds of suffering, physical illness, mental distress, and spiritual suffering. For those who approach the Guru with love, many practices and teachings are offered here. Through them, people can attain the welfare needed for this life and for the life beyond.

  • Can Observing the Breath Reveal the Source of Life? | நம் சுவாசத்தை கவனித்தால் உயிரின் மூலத்தை அறிய முடியுமா?

In the 12th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan explains how the sacred sound Om (Mantra), the control of breath (Vaasi), and the stilling of the mind lead to the state of Nirvana.

Where is Shiva? Shiva exists where the life-force exists. Where does the life-force exist? It exists in the Muladhara. When sages explain the philosophy of the Universe, they say that the all-powerful Divine energy wished to express itself. When that thought spread everywhere, it began to move. From that movement a sound arose. That sound is Om. Om has three parts: A, U, and M. When we chant Om continuously, we can discover its source.
The Thirumandiram also says that when we follow the inner sound, we can know the place of the Lord. If we follow a sound carefully, we can find the one who produces it. In the same way, the spoken word is the mind, and the unspoken word is Vaasi. Vaasi means breath. If we observe and follow the breath, we can understand who moves it and from where it operates.
For this reason, sages studied the mind through mantra, through the sound of Om, and through the breath. Some controlled the breath and practiced kumbhaka. Where the mind exists, the breath also exists. Where the mind does not exist, the breath also stops. When the mind becomes pure and steady, there is no need to chant mantras. When the mind becomes steady, there is no need to control the breath. Therefore, sages trained the mind to become one-pointed and controlled the breath to attain the Supreme Divine state.
In the time of the Siddhars, these practices were common. Today, many people cannot follow them fully. When people repeat mantras, they sometimes forget even the mantra they are chanting. Even a mantra given to improve memory may be forgotten and started again. In ancient times, Siddhars controlled their breath, turned inward, left household life, and went to forests to meditate.
Later the path of the Buddha appeared. A Buddha is one who sees the inner light within and realizes the light of the Atma. That state is called Nirvana. Nirvana means the state of nothingness. It is the state where a person removes the ego that says “I am the body,” “I am the mind,” and “I am the intellect.”
Look at the sky. When the sky has no clouds, it appears clear and open. In the same way, Nirvana is the clear state without deceit or impurity. When a person removes these three identifications, that state arises. To reach it, Buddhist monks practiced strict disciplines. They followed strict rules in food and trained the body to endure heat and hard work.
