Sean Rafferty gets a sneak preview of the National Portrait Gallery's new exhibition ‘Sargent: Portraits of Artists and Friends’, which focuses on John Singer Sargent’s collection of portraits of his closest contemporaries including artists, writers, actors and musicians.
