SO Weekendz EP11 On a dreary hungover Saturday morning (midday) i sit down with Emilee South in the Evelyn band room (with beers for the hair of the dog thing) to chat about Luxury, the scintillating and incredibly engaging new album from Emilee and her band. SO Weekendz EP10 We're at Eddy Castle with Arron Mawson. Mawson has been generous enough to stop by and catch up in-between a million and one things and band practice. As well as a very special parenthood update we also get the latest on all things Stiff Richards, Split System, Doe St, Polute and Legless including tours of the states, new releases and exclusive updates. SO Weekendz EP9 I'm back at the Gem again enjoying a robust and vivid conversation with local booker promoter extraordinaire Kit Atkinson. We chat about the recent Mill Brewery takeover of the Bendigo Hotel and the now sold out opening night gig with C.o.f.f.i.n., Serpette and Stepmother. I push Kit for his guide on getting a Gig in Melbourne, while he encourages me to sell out a show at the Forum with my podcast and general chatter, all while covering off  other important items including but not limited to, Kits band Blowers recording a new album, the lack of Funk gigs, Gemfest, The Wet Ones, The Wiffs, band meetings about international tours, missed gigs with Airbourne, the importantance of small and mid sized venues, Full Flower and Lime Cordial 

The Bendigo C.o.f.f.i.n. gig is now sold out but other opportunities still await including Gemfest in October, and of course the resident slots at the Gem this month, with The Brakes on Fridays and Jae Laffer on Sundays all free free free

Blowers are out on the road this weekend supporting Rockfella(see Grindhouse) at the Tote this Friday (upstairs), Dessert highways 10am Saturday and Medusa Bar in Geelong Saturday night

All of this and i still failed to get Kits story about partying with Chris Bailey and the Saints in Amsterdam on a boat for 3 days, you'll need to ask himself about that one 

SO Weekendz EP8 we're at the Gem catching up with the one and only Kai Cult discussing the Guide to the New Artists Journey, how to get started, how to manifest glory, how to rip and take over the world one day at a time as well as other stuff like Charli XCX, Garlic Nun, My Space, Freedom and being in love with the thing you do, Dude Ranch, New Zealand Mountains, Covid, Press Club, Our Carlson, Korns self titled album, Ministry vs NIN and all the other things.

3 new unreleased tracks get a little play time and I'm introduced to Tung Dizzy, N8NOFACE and Wax Chattels.
