  • Saving America Week In Review 8_9_25
    • Historic EU trade deal proves tariffs work. A clear win for American workers, farmers, and manufacturers. The America First agenda is delivering on its promise of fair and balanced trade, securing huge investments and market access.
    • We can't outlaw our way to a safer society. Banning guns won't stop the violence in our financial districts, on our hiking trails, or in our homes. The problem is a spiritual and cultural one. We need to restore a sense of community, respect, and order.
    • 2nd quarter GDP numbers are in, and they're stronger than expected, with a big boost from consumers buying American-made goods! The only thing holding us back is stubborn inflation, and the Fed's refusal to lower rates. This is stalling the housing market and hurting hard-working families.
    • I sat down with Dr. Stephen Bryen, a top expert on defense and technology, to ask a crucial question: Is America ready to win the new Cold War against Russia and China? We also discussed the growing threat in space and what it will take to secure the free world.
    • After more than a decade, Target is changing its price match policy. Starting July 28, they will no longer match prices from competitors like Amazon or Walmart, only their own in-store and online prices. This could mean more work for shoppers looking for the best deal.
    • In the face of well-documented antisemitism and radical DEI policies, a growing number of universities like Harvard and Columbia are finally being held accountable. The Trump administration is taking a stand for Jewish students and against discrimination, ensuring our institutions of higher learning serve all Americans.
    • The Deep State conspiracy to subvert a duly elected president is finally being exposed. Kash Patel has reportedly found thousands of hidden Russiagate documents in "burn bags" and turned them over to the Senate. The truth is coming out: the FBI and other agencies were weaponized to orchestrate a hoax against the American people.
    • You see it everywhere—a breakdown of common decency and respect. We've lost our manners, our sense of community, and our concern for our neighbors. Is it any wonder that as civility declines, violence rises? We need to get back to the basics of respect and personal responsibility to restore order to our nation.
    • The FBI is warning about a new wave of “smishing” scams that trick people into disclosing their financial information through fraudulent text messages.
    • JoAnn Fabrics, a staple supplier for crafters, is closing after 2 rounds of Chapter 11 bankruptcy failed to solve their problems.
    • I fly frequently, and even I’m getting concerned about the safety of traveling by airplane in the United States. I don’t care whose fault it is that air traffic control towers are undermanned – I just want them fully staffed, immediately!
    • Arizona rancher George Alan Kelly was accused of murder for defending his home. After refusing a plea deal and a hung jury, the prosecution will not retry him.
    • Professor Amy Wax recently grabbed the national spotlight when her comments about minority students went viral. We sat down this week to talk about affirmative action, her being rebranded a racist, and how UPenn first attacked and then tried to silence her.

    • Congress on early recess instead of voting on Epstein files? Unacceptable! Our elected officials should be working full-time for WE THE PEOPLE, not dodging tough votes & collecting full salaries for months off. Drain the swamp, demand accountability!
    • Massive shoutout to JD Vance & his wife for showing up in Nantucket despite 200 "protesters" trying to silence them! These "pro-democracy" radicals are mad America is rejecting their Woke, fascist-left agenda. JD Vance's story is a true American success – from humble roots to national leader. They hate that!
    • Feds pulled the plug on the California bullet train boondoggle! Taxpayer dollars should NOT be wasted on lavish, failing projects or local transit.
    • The Texas 4th of July floods are heartbreaking. 135 lives lost is a tragedy that demands our full attention. While it's a small relief that the number of missing was revised down significantly from 100 to just a few, we must demand a thorough investigation into what happened and why, to ensure such devastation never strikes again. Our hearts are with all affected families.
    • Smart businesses are DITCHING woke states like CA & DE! They're fleeing high taxes, crushing regulations, and radical agendas for the freedom & fiscal sense of TX, FL, & TN. This is how you build American prosperity, not destroy it.
    • President Trump is RIGHT to call out Mexico's airport decision! Forcing international flights to a distant airport while prioritizing domestic at the closer one is a blatant treaty violation & hurts American travelers and carriers. US tourists are vital to Mexico's economy – they can't take us for granted!
    • JUNE retail sales are IN: Solid numbers prove the American consumer economy is alive & thriving! Despite alarmist cries about tariffs crushing costs & killing businesses, our economy is strong. America First!
    • Dr. Ro Jacobs shares how she became a resilience expert, what it means to be Lifejacked, and if resilience can be learned by anyone. Don't miss this empowering conversation on navigating life's challenges!
    • Hollywood took a sharp left turn decades ago, and figures like Rosie O'Donnell clearly embody that shift. But even with that, President Trump should stay focused on draining the swamp and strengthening America. Personal feuds, no matter how tempting, are a distraction from the important work of running our country.
    • Stephen Colbert's show cancelled? Stop with the political conspiracy theories! Reports confirm it was losing millions & bleeding money. TV is a business, not a charity for failing woke narratives. This is about economics, pure and simple.
    • Andy Byron threatening to sue Coldplay over the Kiss Cam scandal? Good luck with that. When you're cheating in public at a concert with cameras, privacy expectations are pretty much zero.
    • In a win for federal supremacy, the court upheld Mississippi’s medical marijuana advertising ban, citing that despite state-level legality, marijuana remains federally illegal. This means advertising, as "commercial speech," doesn't get First Amendment protection if the underlying activity is unlawful under federal law.
    • CEO Zeb Hadley is a hero. He flew his personal helicopter on search and rescue missions and saving, among others, an 11-day old baby.
    • Looks like the antisemitic universities who have repeatedly allowed pro-Palestine protests may finally get their day of reckoning – and I am absolutely here for it.
    • Apple is investing big in AI, including a new Houston-area factory that they say will be open in 2026.
    • This week I met up with Mandy Gunasekara, who was Chief of Staff at the EPA during Trump's 1st term, to talk about why America needed to pull out of the Paris accord, the problem of the Deep State, and the solutions she suggests in her new book “Y’all Fired: A Southern Belle’s Guide to Restoring Federalism and Draining the Swamp.”

    • On the anniversary of the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, PA, it's infuriating to see how little has truly changed. The "responses" to the glaring security failures that allowed such an attack are largely meaningless and incredibly delayed. Where's the accountability? America deserves better than this bureaucratic incompetence when it comes to protecting our leaders.
    • Former Biden doctor Kevin O'Connor & top aide Anthony Bernal just took the 5th when questioned by Congress about Biden's competency. What are they hiding? The American people deserve answers about the serious concerns surrounding the last administration.
    • Economy stuck in neutral: Latest reports confirm a "middling" US economy. No recession yet, but inflation keeps rising & families are pulling back on spending. This isn't stability, it's stagnation. We need real leadership to unleash American prosperity, not more big government policies that weigh us down!
    • The Gaza crisis: Trump's "Riviera" idea highlights the complex reality – 2 million people, no easy exit, and neighbors unwilling to take them. A "2-state solution" that leaves Hamas in power or creates another terror stronghold isn't a solution. We need strong action, not endless talks in Doha that legitimize extremism.
    • The 1993 Motor-Voter law aimed to boost registration, but critics warned about citizenship verification. Could this loophole have swelled voter rolls with non-citizens over decades, subtly shifting demographics in places like NYC? It's a question worth asking as we see far-left candidates like Mamdani becoming electable.
    • Disturbing reports of ICE agents & federal officers ambushed in Texas while enforcing immigration law. This violence against law enforcement is unacceptable and won't be tolerated. We need swift, severe consequences for anyone attacking those who protect our borders and communities. Back the Blue!
    • Federal Judge Brian Murphy is openly defying the Supreme Court! SCOTUS blocked his April ruling on ICE deportations, but he then tried to keep his injunction in effect. This judicial overreach is a direct attack on the rule of law & our Constitution. Impeach him!
    • It's a shame to see federal funding for PBS go, given its history. But with our nation's debt, we must prioritize essentials. Plus, let's be honest: PBS News has drifted far left lately & they run ads anyway. Time for them to stand on their own.
    • My guest this week is Ken Peterson of Churchill & Harriman, who sat down with me for a chat about why cybersecurity risks need attention, the biggest threats we’ll see in the late 2020s, and how you might work cyber risk management into your career path.
    • We have got to end these racist and expensive DEI subsidies being paid for with our tax dollars. The numbers are stunning to me.
    • Maine's Gov. Mills defying Trump's order to protect women's sports and WI Gov. Evers speaking out against deporting criminal illegal aliens? Both earned an F-grade from Saving America. Our governors should prioritize American citizens & common sense, not woke agendas!
    • SCOTUS rejected the challenge to Alaska's campaign finance reforms, a win for transparency! This decision could pave the way for more states to enact vital reforms, shedding light on "dark money" and strengthening accountability in our elections. Good for fiscal conservatives who demand transparency!
    • Articulate, straight-talking Karoline Leavitt is the best person we’ve had in the role of White House Press Secretary for a long time. Another great pick by Trump!
    • My guest this week is John Gardner, who went from high school dropout to major manufacturing entrepreneur. Listen in as we chat about his journey, the problem of offshoring labor, and his book “Manufacture Local: How to Make America the Manufacturing Superpower of the World.”

    • Texas floods are a tragic reminder: county governments must stop rubber-stamping development in known flood zones! Prioritizing short-term growth over public safety and fiscal responsibility is indefensible. It's time for accountability and common-sense planning to protect Texans and their property.
    • Chicago just wrapped another bloody 4th of July, with violent crime spiraling. This isn't about fireworks, it's a failure of leadership. When will progressive policies stop sacrificing public safety for ideology? Families deserve to celebrate freedom, not fear for their lives.
    • A 60-day Gaza ceasefire? Pointless unless ALL 20 remaining living hostages are released IMMEDIATELY. Our priority should be bringing our people home, not enabling terrorist groups. No deals without accountability!
    • While our President has delivered on many promises, the war in Ukraine drags on. It's time to unleash America's full power & decisively arm Ukraine to end this conflict. Weakness emboldens our enemies. Let's finish the job and defend freedom!
    • The US recalling its diplomat from Colombia, and Colombia reciprocating, is a serious sign of escalating tensions. When a crucial regional partner starts making "baseless and reprehensible statements," America must stand firm. Our allies need to understand we demand respect and clear communication.
    • Microsoft cutting 9,000 jobs while rumors swirl of AI replacements. This raises serious questions about the future of work & big tech's priorities. While AI's full impact is unclear, we must ensure innovation serves people, not just profits.
    • My guest this week, Sameer Somal, is a fascinating entrepreneur and a leader in the financial and digital marketing industries. He sat down with me to talk about what it means to be a CFA Charterholder, as well as his companies Blue Ocean Global Technology and Girl Power Talk.
    • Latest jobs report: 147,000 new jobs! But don't be fooled by the stock market bump. Nearly half are government jobs, masking a sagging private sector. True economic strength comes from private innovation, not bloated bureaucracy. We need real growth, not government-inflated numbers!
    • Big win! Paramount settles with Trump for $16M over CBS's skewed 2024 election coverage of Kamala Harris. This is a clear signal: the Fake News Media can't manipulate voters and get away with it. Accountability is coming!
    • Tragic news from Milan: A man died after being sucked into a jet engine at the airport on July 8th. While details emerge, it's a stark reminder that security breaches and runway incursions can have devastating consequences. Our airports must be absolutely secure, protecting both passengers and personnel.
    • BOMBSHELL in New York DMV: Employees busted rigging driving tests for illegal immigrants, many who couldn't speak English! This, while DOT just mandated English proficiency for CDLs. Our security and safety are being undermined. Unacceptable!
    • The SPLC's "hate map" labeling of mainstream Christian advocacy groups is deeply concerning & out of touch with the values of many Americans. It blurs lines between legitimate advocacy & actual hate, undermining their own credibility and fueling division.
    • Arguing about the discovery process in a lawsuit is rarely headline-making, but all the rules flew out the window when TwitterX sued Media Matters.
    • Bargain Hunt, a chain of discount stores, is closing all 91 of their locations by the end of March. Yet another casualty of Bidenomics. I hope Trump turns things around soon.
    • Dr. Danielle Lord is an expert in leadership theory. She sat down with me this week to discuss the differences between management and leadership, the value of authentic relationships in the workplace, and her new book “Engaging your employees.”

    • The "Big Beautiful Bill" passed, but let's be honest: it's crammed with wasteful spending. While some good may come, taxpayers are on the hook for millions in earmarks that have nothing to do with core conservative principles. We need real fiscal discipline, not more D.C. bloat.
    • WARNING from NYC! Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani won the NYC mayoral primary, pushing a far-left agenda for the Big Apple. Expect calls for massive tax hikes, gov't-run services, and policies that undermine personal liberty. New Yorkers, be vigilant!
    • NATO's new 5% spending plan is a stark reminder that European nations are finally waking up to the real threat. Funny how a war on their doorstep makes them more willing to pay their fair share after years of freeloading. America first, always, but a stronger NATO is good for everyone when threats loom large.
    • Predictable: Iran backs out of peace talks with Israel. No surprise from a regime that prioritizes terror over peace. This highlights why strength and unwavering support for our allies, especially Israel, are non-negotiable.
    • Justice for our President! The trial for the three alleged terrorists who plotted to assassinate President Trump has been set for March. We must ensure those who seek to undermine our nation and threaten our leaders face the full force of the law. Secure our country!
    • New bombshell from Kash Patel & Dan Bongino: Under Chris Wray, the FBI allegedly HID evidence of a Chinese plot to interfere in the 2020 election! This is exactly why we need to drain the swamp & hold those accountable who weaponize our institutions. Unacceptable!
    • Another week, another batch of well-known brands going bankrupt. It's becoming a regular headline! This trend isn't just about a few bad businesses; it's a symptom of deeper economic issues. We need policies that empower businesses to thrive, not just survive.
    • The housing market is definitely shifting, but for many sellers, it's a tough pill to swallow. High interest rates are sidelining buyers, leaving homes on the market longer & forcing price cuts. This isn't a "beautiful" market for everyone; it's a reflection of economic uncertainty hitting real families hard.
    • American manufacturing first! Recent trade talks show our administration is pushing back on unfair practices. Canada caved on their digital tax & Vietnam's facing new tariffs unless they open up. We're prioritizing American workers & fair deals, not globalist handouts!
    • Student visa interviews are back on! While it's important to welcome legitimate students, strong vetting for national security is non-negotiable. We must ensure our academic institutions remain centers of excellence, not avenues for those who wish us harm. America First means secure borders AND smart immigration.
    • HUGE victory for women's sports! UPenn has finally done the right thing, stripping Lia Thomas of medals and giving them back to the rightful female athletes. This is about fairness, protecting women's categories, and ensuring that biological reality prevails. Common sense is winning!
    • BIG WIN: Our brave ICE agents are relentlessly fighting to protect children, rescuing victims trafficked under the previous administration's border chaos. This highlights the horrific human cost of open border policies and why secure borders are paramount for national security AND protecting the most vulnerable.
    • John Miles, the leading authority on intentional behavior change, dropped in to talk with me about the behavioral and mindset shifts people need to move from a life of quiet desperation to wherever they actually want to be.
    • Minneapolis Mayor Frey is actively frustrating federal immigration efforts, making it harder for agents like Tom Homan to deport illegal immigrants. This defiance undermines law and order and puts communities at risk.

    • Were the recent strikes truly effective at degrading Iran's nuclear capabilities, or just a temporary setback? With Iran hardening its stance against inspections and rhetoric still heated, it's hard to see this "ceasefire" leading to any lasting peace.
    • Democrats' response to the Iran strikes? While Americans want peace, prominent Dems are pushing impeachment over a united, constructive approach. Where's the leadership to prevent endless wars, instead of political posturing? We deserve better than grandstanding.
    • The Harvard Law Review is reportedly using racial identity in article selection, a move that undermines merit and fair scholarship. This isn't diversity, it's discrimination. Academic excellence should be based on ideas, not identity.
    • China's relentless bullying in the South China Sea, including attacking Philippine ships in their own sovereign waters, is an outrageous violation of international law. Their aggressive claims on vital shipping lanes and resource-rich areas threaten regional stability & global trade. Stand with the Philippines!
    • Social Security is on borrowed time, projected to run out in just 8 years! We can't afford to kick the can down the road. It's time for fiscal responsibility & cutting federal bloat to secure our future. Saving America has a plan for the tough but necessary choices.
    • Excellent news! A new survey shows 9 in 10 Americans back RFK Jr.'s MAHA initiative, especially on clarifying food safety guidelines. It’s clear people want transparency and real health solutions, not more processed nonsense. Time to Make America Healthy Again!
    • Reminder to tourists: historic art and artifacts are irreplaceable! Recent incidents at Palazzo Maffei Museum & the Uffizi Gallery show that chasing a selfie can cause lasting damage. Let's protect our shared cultural heritage. Look, but don't touch!
    • I just hosted an incredibly insightful interview on "Saving America" with mentoring expert Doug Lawrence! We discussed his vital new book, "Grief: The Silent Pandemic," and how mentorship can help us navigate loss. A must-listen for anyone seeking healing and connection.
    • In North Carolina, a 16-year-old sued his school after they suspended him for using the phrase “illegal alien” when asking his teacher a question about an assignment. Updated!
    • Do I prefer to maintain a little physical distance from other people when I’m out and about? Absolutely. But you don’t see me claiming that there’s a scientific basis for that. Wish we could same for Dr. Fauci, who admitted he lied about the infamous COVID 6-foot rule.
    • Two illegal Jordanian migrants breached Quantico Air Force Base – you know, where they train FBI agents and the guys that fly the president’s helicopter? – and they were RELEASED. Too bad Biden and Harris didn’t know any good prosecutors…
    • Do you know what to do if a police officer or government official come to your office? If they want to speak to someone? Poke around? I suggest some ground rules this week!
    • Can social media companies be forced to give the courts information while prohibited from notifying the user – even if the user is the President?
    • Ever heard of La Gordiloca? She was arrested for violating an “unconstitutionally vague” law and set off a firestorm of legal arguments over civil rights and qualified immunity.
    • Asst. Attorney General Kristen Clarke stand accused of perjury. Apparently, she lied about knifing her ex-husband during her nomination testimony. Another choice Biden appointee!
    • Dr. Matthew Garrett was a tenured, well-respected, award-winning professor of history– until he found himself fighting the system to protect his California college from radically racist policies.
    • I have very mixed feelings about Biden blocking the merger between Nippon Steel and U.S. Steel.
    • SCOTUS rules for the NRA, finding that a New York state key financial administrator violated their 1st Amendment Rights. Maybe it’s time for businesses to escape from New York?

    • Migrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia is back in the US - and was immediately slapped with human trafficking charges! This highlights the serious issues at our border. Rule of law must prevail.
    • Long-time friends of the show Dennis Beaver and Lyle Sussman return to Saving America to ponder the role technology is playing in the break-down of both language and interpersonal skills in modern society.
    • "No Kings" protests are just more radical noise against American liberty! Don't fall for the chaos. We stand with our Republic, not against it.
    • The "Holy Grail of Shipwrecks," the San José galleon, has been confirmed! But with billions in treasure, the battle over who owns it—Colombia, Spain, indigenous groups, or a US company—is just getting started.
    • A federal court struck down the DOL's overtime rule increasing minimum annual salaries for exempt employees! This means the higher thresholds are out, at least for now. Businesses, stay tuned!
    • Author Joseph M. Lenard dropped by this week for a nice, upbeat chat about terrorism and religion, and what it means to be a ChristiTutionalist.

Violent riots erupting in LA over ICE raids underscore the critical need for law and order. Our nation's security and the safety of our communities depend on enforcing immigration laws, not on tolerating mob rule.

The cover-up of Biden’s mental decline is the biggest political scandal in 50 years. Recent reports about his abuse of autopens and tell-all books from former members of his administration are just adding fuel to the fire.

After the latest tariff talks, a "deal" is on the table with China. But let's be real: Beijing's track record on trade promises is rocky at best. Conservatives know we need action, not just words, to level the playing field. Will China actually follow through, or is this another pause before more unfair practices?

Trump and Musk have both behaved like children, but their public feud seems to be cooling down recently. I hope we’ve heard the last of it!

Are our universities becoming pro sports leagues? Millions for D1 coaches & athletes, yet academic departments face budget cuts and outdated resources. It's time to prioritize education and stop the wasteful spending that undermines true intellectual pursuit.

My guest this week is Kevin McDonald, and while we meant to talk mostly about his podcast “Positive Talk Radio,” we really spent most of the time talking about chickens, psychic powers, and the power of positive thinking.

An army terrorist briefing singled out two historically peaceful pro-life groups as terrorist organizations. How is valuing human life a terrorist activity?

Ethan Haim, the whistleblower who exposed that Texas Children’s Hospital was still providing gender change medical services to kids in violation of state law, has been slapped with HIPPA violations in retaliation.

Senator Booker's 25-hour "April Fool’s Day" speech wasn't just a waste of OUR money; reports suggest his campaign was soliciting funds DURING it! That's a direct violation of Senate ethics rules separating official duty from campaign cash. This isn't just politics; it's about integrity and respecting American taxpayers.

In a sad commentary on the state of the world, Mexico sued American gun manufacturers, alleging that they are the reason Mexico can’t keep the cartels from running their society. Updated with SCOTUS’ decision!

The DC Appeals court narrowly upheld trespassing charges against the January 6th defendants, but the dissenting opinion offered a compelling counter- argument.

Fani Willis, the GA district attorney who made her career prosecuting Trump for election fraud, also has the dubious honor of participating in the longest running trial in Georgia’s history - against the rapper Young Thug.

Retired naval captain turned author Red O’Laughlin stopped in to talk about the root cause of military recruitment shortfalls, as well as his extensive research and writings on health, wellness, and spirituality.
