We were thrilled to be asked to attend the Rise with Renasant Women’s Summit in Birmingham, Alabama this past week.

On Monday night they hosted a meet and greet with us, (flattered) and we were able to mix and mingle with the attendees. We met an amazing group of women and were so honored to be involved, and to be able to share in this time together.

In March of 2016, Patrick’s sister, Kelly, was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She bravely fought her disease for over a year, but devastatingly passed away in April of 2017. Despite her prognosis, Kelly always found joy in her journey and touched many lives all over the world because of her positive outlook on life and vibrant personality. She almost always had a smile on her face, even at the end of her life, and was always concerned with the well-being of others.

Toward the end of her battle with cancer, Kelly’s family discovered cannabinoids. They have since started a small family hemp farm in West Tennessee to help people access high quality and sustainably grown hemp derived CBD products. In Kelly’s memory, they hope to give the opportunity to experience hemp derived CBD to as many people as possible.

As founder of the Rise with Renasant, a women-led initiative dedicated to empowering female leaders, achievers, innovators, and entrepreneurs across the southeastern region. Renasant bankers are committed to supporting women, like you and me, on our path to success by supporting our vision and goals for the future.

We think it’s fake Spring, but we don’t care. We don’t want to hear about the cold snap yet to some- after what seemed like the longest winter known to man we are SO happy for some sunshine! Do I need a sun lamp? I think so…

Also on this week’s episode we talk abut the teen scene. Dealing with going to high school, dealing with them growing up, and teaching independence…. it’s all too much!

We meet Ashley on The Say it Southern Getaway this year and because fast friends as she has been a longtime follower of Say it Southern and loves all things hospitable, fun dinner parties, details and female business owners! She checks every one of those boxes!
