1. Notice the pattern
2. Acknowledge the fear or emotion behind why you’ve been stuck in the pattern
3. Realized what you’re missing out on by not doing anything different/facing the difficult emotion
4. Come to grips that this would happen again and again and this pattern will be perpetuated unless I do something different.
5. Acknowledge how painful it has been to avoid facing this difficult emotion and also how painful it is to NOT face this difficult emotion
6. MAKE A DIFFERENT MOVE
