Author demands: I am tired of authors requesting /demanding readers pre-order their books and if a certain pre-order percent is met/if they order the book by a certain date, they will reward the readers with a free novella or a special scene. There are also authors who ask readers NOT to pre-order, but by books on release day, to boost the authors status on various bestseller lists. What is your opinion on this ? I personally believe I don’t owe or own the authors. I buy their work, sometimes review it. I dont appreciate being told where or when to buy books.
