A wonderful good news story- Marie McNamara spoke with Jenny Tuohy and her uncle Martin Healy who recently participated in the Kidney Pairing Program in Coventry, England.Jenny had already had 2 transplants since childhood and was back on dialysis with the chances of getting another transplant looking very slim. Without telling anyone Martin researched the Kidney Pairing Program and underwent very strict tests to see if he would be able to donate a kidney to a willing recipient. After being successful he then told a shocked Jenny of his decision. Because of Martin's wonderful, selfless gesture this meant his niece Jenny would now be eligible to receive a Kidney in return. They tell us about the journey they have both been on.
