Welcome to Scatterbrain Podcast Episode 157!
In this week's episode, we talk about "Repulsive Nature", the debut album from Seattle-based death metal band, Re-buried.
Then we talk about Sir Alfred Mehran, the strange man who lived in a Paris airport for not 5, not 10, but for 18 years. How and why did he live in an airport? Was this by choice or was he trapped and a victim of circumstances? This man's story would eventually become a book, and the inspiration for a movie starring Tom Hanks.

Scatterbrain Podcast: Episode 156 - The Overkill Episode!
Overkill are the hardest working, most prolific, consistent, and straight-up insanely ripping thrash metal band active today. Their live shows are loud, impressive, and if you are seeing it for the first time, it will change your life for the better! No hyperbole. No BS. This is a non-stop, 43-years-and-running freight train of fuck you thrash metal that demands your attention, but doesn't give a fuck if you like them or not! They will plow through your town and leave their fans satisfied... and the doubters in stunned silence trying to process what they have just experienced. You think we are kidding? Go get a ticket... and then welcome to The Green And Black!
We review Overkill's 20th album, "Scorched". It's been a long four years, but it was worth the wait.
Ian gushes his love of everything Overkill and we talk about the new album. Then, we wrap it up with Ian's Overkill album rankings... this from a 36-year-long super-fan and not some jackass hack on YouTube with his head up his ass! But, from someone who ALWAYS has his head up his own ass! So it's legit.
Thanx For Nothin' fuckers! Please enjoy this episode. And if you don't... it's Dan's fault!

I have nothing more to say.
Always, Stanley. Always. You were so much better than what I am left with.
Welcome to Scatterbrain Podcast Episode 152: Plastic (It's Everywhere)!
This week, we do another album swap. Ian listens to Suffocation's "Effigy of the Forgotten" (Dan's suggestion) and Dan listens to Sabbat's "History of a Time to Come" (Ian's suggestion). These albums are some of our favorites - We do these album swaps to break out of our normal listening habits and encourage each other to listen to something we may have missed or may not have given a chance in the past. How do they hold up after all of these years?
Then, we talk about plastic. It's everywhere! We learn about the discovery and manufacture of plastic, its many benefits, and the pitfalls of its widespread use. You don't have to look far to see the environmental impacts of the production and improper disposal of plastic, and the scale of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is almost beyond comprehension. What can be done about this? Are we past the point of no return?

"The Toxic Angry Victim" by I. Mesplay.
We've all had to tolerate this type of person at one point in our lives. If you haven't, be prepared. They will ruin everything for everyone around them. They are arrogant and deeply selfish creatures. And if you think being friendly is the answer, they will use that opportunity to try to crush your happiness with complaints and negativity. If you think remaining positive and offering solutions is the key, well, they won't hear a thing that you are saying. That would defeat what it's all really about for them: they thrive on anger, can't stand it when someone else isn't as miserable as they are, and will actively work to poison the well for everyone else. Go ahead and try to be their friend and advocate. Go ahead and try to make them see the positive and interject reason. They won't listen. And next thing you know, you are struggling through quicksand trying to escape their never-ending, rage-filled vitriol. God help you.
